Firstly, price so high than around, pool does open. No any notes on site. We booked it because of pool. Plus bed mattresses is uncomfortable. No more in Tacoma

Highly recommend you check out this place. Room arrangement and furniture is really nice and modern. Had an avocado toast. Service is quick, especially when there are fewer people. Food was presentable and quite tasty. If you’re staying the night at the Marriott hotel, it’s a must.

It would be beneficial to be cautious of a place that has decided to not pay its vendors for services requested by them. I am one of those vendors. I have been waiting since August. Food Service Equipment Repair, Inc.

Room was clean, with a nice view. Somehow my one night stay confirmation became two nights, and management WOULD NOT cancel the second night, even though I wasn’t staying. A block of rooms had been booked for my daughter’s wedding, and my room was part of the contracted room block. Other guests also had issues with their reservations being incorrect. The food in the Great Room restaurant was not up to what I expected from a four star establishment, and a $16 meal ended up costing $30 with all their additional charges. I do not recommend this establishment nor will I ever stay with them again.

I feel racially discriminatedShe was even cursing when I ordered the food ??Worst restaurant experience everI was very disappointed with the service at the hotel. The rude waitress has been visibly ignoring me and scornfully speak to me for few times. Just can’t bear to be humiliated anymore!!Hope the manger can fire the disrespectful waitress...

The hotel seems new and part of an exciting downtown area. However, the hotel lacks in many details. For example, during a 5 night stay, there is no regular scheduled room cleaning unless requested. The M Club is a major disappointment. Many of the machines (water fountain, coffee machine) are broken and out of service. Food during breakfast is uninspiring, boring and without taste. And, guests are asked to return dirty dishes/plates and positioned next to the tray is a tip jar. Glad to tip but what is the service provided here?

Awful. Hotel was overrun with unsupervised kids as part of a dance group they chose to host on graduation wkend/mother's day. Questioning that logic, as the decision significantly compromised the stays of higher-rated transient guests like us who will never return and may choose Hilton/Hyatt over the brand in the future. Services we paid for were not delivered: no valet parking, no room service, '24/7 snacks' consisted of Cheez-It crumbs, un-refrigerated sodas and a few yogurts with no spoons or napkins provided. We visited the lounge twice throughout the day, and found it in the same condition. The attendant was surly and disappeared for 20 minutes at a time and when we inquired about re-fills of refreshments (we were hungry & pressed for time), the answer was, "It's going to take awhile." So crowded we couldn't use pool or have breakfast. Thought we'd be helpful by declining housekeeping service, yet nobody paid attention and we were disturbed when trying to rest before going out for the day. Two words: IT SUCKED.

Very nice atmosphere. We were seated immediately and offered water and coffee. We ordered the Foraged mushroom hash and an extra plate because we share meals. Which I recommend people share meals whenever they are dining out. We got our plates and the portion was colossal. We quickly divided up the plate and began to devour the delight before us. The food looked fantastic. That's where it pretty much ended. First and foremost the potatoes were rough chopped and very large pieces. Due to the rough chop the cooking time varies. This made it so some of the potatoes were under cooked. The shemeji mushrooms were the reason that we ordered the hash. The mushrooms were buried on the bottom and there were very few. Also the entire plate needed more salt. When we ordered a hash we were expecting a hash. This was more like a scramble. My recommendation to make the dish better: Smaller potatoes on the bottom, then layer mushrooms. The mushrooms should be varying types of mushrooms to make them stand out in the dish. Then the eggs. Let's not forget the salt. The wait staff was the win here... very attentive and checked in often. Continually refilling coffee and water. The waitress made us feel welcome. We will come back... but we will try something else on the menu.

I checked into this hotel and was at first impressed because the building is beautiful. But I soon learned that the service is THE WORST I've ever experienced! I was here for work and because of that, depending on the hotel restaurant for meals. The food is a joke - sloppy, gross, cold, salad was wilted, grilled cheese was oily and disgusting (not to mention completely overpriced. And then Gustavo at the front desk decided to change an order without notifying me. Several bites into my meal I realized that he had served me something with dairy - which I am allergic to. When I went downstairs, he smugly told me that luckily he would remove the charge from my bill. THAT was his solution?? The next night at 10pm, I returned to the restaurant (which has a sign that is clearly marked open until 11pm) and told that in fact, we could NOT eat and they could not supply us with food because they were "too busy". Gustavo was again working the front desk and had no solution other than "sorry" then he LIED to me and said that the restaurant closes at 10pm. (Again despite the sign posted with hours open until 11pm). . This is unacceptable. I chose this hotel so that I could be guaranteed in hotel dining. Otherwise I would have stayed somewhere else. Supposedly Gustavo told the manager about the incident from the night before but I never heard from her... so she either ignored me situation, or Gustavo again lied to my face. Why even bother to join "Marriott Bonvoy" what is the purpose of being a loyal customer to a hotel chain that CLEARLY does not care about it's clients??

This is one of the nicer Marriotts I’ve stayed in. Very new and modern, great design, super comfortable beds, and a great proximity to the convention center. One criticism is not enough elevators - there was always a traffic jam in the morning when the conferences began. Tacoma is a charming little town as well. Be sure to check out the McMenamin’s.
