The Powder Room Champagne Bar & Restaurant

My husband flew in for Valentine’s Day and had less than 12 hours with me before he had to fly back out. I specifically made an 11 PM reservation on OpenTable at this restaurant because that was the latest time available. We even showed up an hour early at 10 PM thinking we could grab a drink at the bar before our reservation — and were still turned away and told they were already closed.

If the restaurant is closed at 10 PM, there should not be 11 PM reservations available on OpenTable. That’s incredibly misleading and frustrating, especially on a holiday when reservations are hard to get.

What made it more disappointing was the lack of empathy. There was no apology or attempt to accommodate us — we were told we couldn’t even sit at the bar. When I asked to confirm we wouldn’t be charged for the reservation, our server left to check with the manager and kept us waiting several minutes while attending to other tables. Another server eventually had to step in to help us.

I understand that closing procedures happen, but at the very least, some kindness and accountability would have gone a long way. Please fix your OpenTable system so this doesn’t happen to someone else.

My husband and I had high expectations for our Valentine’s Day dinner, but it ended up being the single worst dining experience we’ve ever had. The service was virtually non-existent; we sat for over an hour before anyone even acknowledged the massive delay in our meal.
The communication was honestly baffling. Our appetizer never arrived, and when I finally questioned the staff, I was told it would come with the entrée. Instead, it showed up after we had finished our main course. To make matters worse, there was never an apology or even an acknowledgment of the poor service and lack of attention. For the price they charge, you expect a premium experience, but the food was incredibly basic and overpriced. This was a disappointing, frustrating waste of a holiday. Save your money and go somewhere that values its guests.

Me and my partner dined there on Valentine's Day. I do not recommend going there for food because it wasn't bought fresh and by the time we received our food, it was cold and stale. The people there are very queer friendly and just overall friendly. :)

Such a great spot! We had an amazing late launch on a Friday early afternoon. The only option was the multi-course brunch menu which was more food than we had planned on eating, but it was yummy and worth the extra $ if you're hungry and/or want to relax and enjoy. And they were super kind and accommodating. Thanks, Powder Room!

My friend and I stopped in for dinner and a drink the other night and just loved this place! She told me about it, and I had only seen it from the street in passing recently-so I was very excited to experience it. It was sadly nearly empty-and it shouldn't be. I did have a salad but it was really good, I mean the perfect amount of dressing, flavorful, and my champagne was lovely. The setting was so insanely adorable, I mean guys may feel a bit uncomfy there as it is a VERY girly vibe. I am a wedding planner, and I can see super cute bridal showers here, photoshoots, milestone birthdays, and epic girl's night out here! The word needs to get out, come to this place and experience it. Totally worth it! Will definitely be back with my girl tribe :)

We had a company get together here recently...and not one person was impressed. Im sorry, but this was the worst combination of cocktails and food I've ever had. The food wasn't tasty and the cocktails were so watered down, I had to order a beer at the end to salvage something from the amount of money I had just spent. It was so bad, I wondered if maybe they just didn't want us there and were making sure we would never come back.

Fun place with diverse menu of drinks. Champagne by the glass was priced high in my opinion. My only true complaint was the cheap, standard bar glasses the champagne was served in. An upgrade of glassware is needed to justify the glass price. Otherwise, the appetizers were good. Ambience was fun.

Service was good, but food was small and bland. Its a flat $39/person brunch, plus cocktails. 4 of us with 1 drink each topped $250. It was not worth that. The music was so loud it was like being in a 2008 club yelling over the base.

It was 10:30 on a Sunday. That was no time for club yelling.

There were only 3 tables of patrons and they set us all close to each other despite having space to spread us out. It made the loud music worse because we were all yelling and struggling to hear over the music and each other.

We celebrated my 40th birthday here. It was so over the top, glamorous, fun, and perfect. The planning person was wonderful leading up to the event, helping me pick starting appetizers and even suggesting a welcome drink that took the party to the next level. Our servers were excellent, accommodating, patient, and with fun attitudes. The food was amazing. We had over 30 people in our group and everyone raved about their experience. I would 100% host a gathering here again. (My husband have also visited for a date night and it’s perfect for that too.)

I reserved a table for a group of 6 for a Christmas afternoon celebration. Upon arrival discovered that there was no lunch menu (1.30pm reservation and selected dinner menu option via web) so we went ahead and ordered from the brunch menu. Also unaware beforehand that its a set menu price. I would have thought such a place would be full on a Saturday coming up to Christmas but we arrived to a nearly empty dining room.
I found it very expensive and the food not up to par... ricotta pancakes were good but hardly worth $50. The omelettes were dense and filled with overcooked meat, although the eggs benedict was very good, as were the potatoes and burrata salad shareable plates for the table. Our server was friendly and helpful, its a good spot with adequate parking and cute feminine decor, which is why I am giving the 3 stars. A beautiful concept but the execution has room for improvement.

I wanted to love it and if you're going with a group of girls you probably will. Great ambience for women, I could definitely see how a man would not be comfortable though. When I went today it was a full house of women and only one man present. The food was ok, the drinks felt like a rip off. They use antique size coupes, so your drink will be about 3-4 oz and watered down. It was fun to experience, but since we spent $200 for 2 people, I did not feel like the value was there.

Outstanding, we have been here twice now. A few months ago for dinner and last week for brunch. Both times the food was spectacular. We li e all of there seasonal dishes and drinks. Don't get me wrong their fill regularly menu rocks too. We have never had to wait for anything, the staff is always on top of it and super welcoming. There is a DJ that plays and can get somewhat loud. This place is a must try!!

Cozy and comfortable but can get extremely loud quickly when other parties arrive.
