The 'hidden' bar at the Elks Temple. Really fun spot.

What a nice surprise 🥰

Hostess was rude and dismissive. Acted like we inconvenienced her. Server (Madi) was very nice. We were sat right next to the noisy kitchen, and it was very cold. Food was good - just wouldn't choose this place over the many great restaurants nearby.

McMenamins Elks Temple offers a truly memorable experience with its stunning atmosphere, great value, and high-quality food. The unique setting and service made for a wonderful evening, and the pricing felt fair for such a well-loved spot. That said, while everything we ordered was tasty, the menu itself leans heavily toward casual, bar-style fare—lots of fried items and basic burgers. For a venue that often requires reservations and carries a sense of occasion, it would be nice to see a few more elevated or mature dining options added to the mix.

We had a group of 9 this visit. The server was on point and consistent. He was great! Food & drinks were delicious. I highly recommend McMenamins Elks Temple in Tacoma for any lunch or dinner event.

We were seated in the far back with mostly no window. Seated next to us was a family with several crying children. Service was extremely slow. :( They were out of seasonals yet it was still advertised. It just was the exact opposite vibe of what we were looking for.

Very cool place. Even if you aren’t going to sit down for a drink you should check this place out if you’re in the building

McMenamins did a great job of restoring and reviving the architectural gem that is the Tacoma Elks Temple and the adjacent Spanish Steps. Even though it's been quite a few years, it still feels fresh and satisfying. Each of the half dozen bars is unique and enjoyable. The food at the main dining room (The Pub) is not exactly "fine dining" but it is excellent quality and there is enough variety on the menu to satisfy everyone. And our service by Kelly was superb.

Food was okay. Several drinks were missed and had to be asked after. A few orders were wrong and had to be corrected and one drink never came out the entire dinner. The food was okay but the service was lacking. The location is fabulous.

I love coming here! The bartender tonight (Sunday 5/18 around 7pm) was not only very attractive (should’ve left my number — mistakes were made) but also made fantastic drinks. They were so fast and made some of my favorite drinks I’ve ordered here. Lovely atmosphere & always fun to see newbies find their way in. 10/10!

Our waitress was incredible. Not a lot of options for non meat eating people and avg price is high. Cool atmosphere

For Mothers Day, we sat at our table for an hour waiting for our food, which then arrived cold and incomplete. Server offered a side of warm potatoes to go with my cold Benedict, which I accepted. But my mother's omelette they forgot half the ingredients and it was basically a sautéed onion onelette. The server offered to have it redone, but like she said it could take another hour ! So disappointing and then I had to argue to get the omelette removed from our bill.
