Love this place but went there today and it was being demo’d inside. The construction person didn’t know what was going on. So bummed!

Found this cute little shop when visiting Tacoma for the weekend. The service is quick and friendly and you know it's good when they have the meat hanging in display. Prices are a little pricy but the food quality is good!

Absolutely a must-try - the roast duck dry noodles and the combo rice plate are exceptional! Arrive early as they tend to sell out daily. The pickled greens on the side complement the dishes perfectly. Just be aware that parking might be a bit challenging due to nearby construction.

This is one of the spots where its a little low-key and if you know then you know. I drive past here a lot without realizing until I saw this spot online and am I glad I did, ever since I found out about this spot I’ve been coming back frequently and would always get their roasted duck and their roasted pork noodle soup. There isn’t much I could say except that the taste is very authentic and their atmosphere reminds me a lot of home, I can picture it being in Vietnam and serving out of a neighborhood home. Highly recommend.

On a cold winter day, nothing is better than a warm bowl of soup and noodles. When my fiance and I came to Tho Tuong BBQ, we could smell the amazing food in the air as we opened the door. There were a lot of people on the Saturday afternoon, but we were able to snag a few seats at the bar. I ordered the mi vit quay/roasted duck noodles with soup ($17). The bowl came out with broth fresh from the stove, and I couldn't wait to try! The broth was light but full of flavor. I pretty much drank the whole thing and didn't feel too heavy. I liked how they added a lot of green onions, as it added a refreshing crunch to the bowl. The noodles were cooked well and the roasted duck was delicious. They roast their duck at the shop, so you know it is homemade. The duck was both crispy and juicy, making it addicting to eat.Overall, I enjoyed my meal here and would come by again!

Great food that lived up to its reputation for both the ducks and pork. However, the service was subpar. As it got busier, it got a bit wild with ordering to-go orders and the wait was long to pay your own sit-down bill. While eating, delivery of whole uncooked pigs were carried in over the shoulder one by one right by our table. It could be considered unsanitary for folks while eating their food or disturbing seeing a dead pig staring lifeless at you, but I find it to be an amazing, genuinely experience. I saw a table that was making faces and thought I should bring up that it could have a concern. Would stop by again if ever in the area.

If they state that they sell their meats by the pound, I expect that it will weigh 16 oz. if I put it on a scale. That was not the case with the two trips I've made here. Food is good, but I've weighed each of the meats alone on a food scale as it looked like I had received less roast pork than the BBQ pork. Without the styrofoam container, without the sauce they include, it ends up being 14ish-15ish oz. And sure enough, I did indeed receive less of the roast pork. It's not off by too much, but again, if they state they sell their meats by the pound, each customer should be getting the amount they pay for.I spoke to someone over the phone to let them know that I wasn't happy about this and that it isn't fair to customers if they aren't getting the full portion they paid for. All they said was "okay, thank you." Zero ownership. I treat it as if I'm buying produce, meat, poultry, whatever it may be by weight. It shouldn't be any different.

Coming from California and a former Seattlelite, I've been missing good roast pork, duck, charsiu. It's either SF or I'm subjected to People's market in Sacramento (no offense). Been eyeing Tho Tuong from their Instagram page. Flew in and drove a quick 20-25 min drive to check out the meats! The duck was flavorful, charsiu was moist with the right balanced flavor, and the roast pork. OMG. Soft meat, crunchie skin. Crunch!!You can check out the combo noodle soup here--just get all three types of meats in one bowl. The serving was generous. I also didn't have to hunt for herbs and vegetables. It's a stacked bowl. Came at 11:30pm and stayed for over an hour and not once was there quiet time. Felt like I was in SF where I had to fight my Asian grandmas for a spot in line. How is this in Tacoma? Ate so much I'm going to have to suck in my stomach. Prob one of the best hole in the wall place I've eaten at.

I'm sure many love this place, but personally, it is not for me. I guess I have a different flavor expectation, I found the food bland, tough to eat, and a bit overpriced. The staff were very hard working and courteous, I like to try a little bit of everything, and sometimes it just doesn't work out.

The food is delicious and fresh. I ordered the 3 meat combo and it was just enough for me. The place reminds me of hongkong or old chinatown. I went there early around 9:30 and i was able to park. You should come here early if you want to dine in because it can get crowded and its hard to find a seat.

Don’t let the appearance fool you, this food is incredible. I got their lunch combo and picked roasted pork and bbq pork, with vegetables and broken rice. The meal was delicious, the portion was huge, I will be back to try more.

Tacoma WA. Got to love this place. Hanging ducks. Roasted pork belly. Yummy. I had the two meat noodle soup and it was out of this world. This is going to be a regular stop for me as it is right off the freeway a few blocks. Super good food, super friendly.

Legit a hole in the wall in the Lincoln district of Tacoma. First time I came here it was cash only, but now they take credit cards! Usually this place has a line of people snaking thru the restaurant ordering to-go. There's only enough seating for maybe 15 people in the entire restaurant. It's cramped and dated. But who cares? The food is exceptional. Portions are good. I got the combo lunch with rice. Peking Duck is moist, not too gamey, and perfectly seasoned. Char Siu pork is authentic. If you want the crispy pork, you'll need to come early because they regularly sell out. This place reminds me of home, and gives my belly a big hug with its meals. So glad it's close by!
