Had dinner at the Wild Orchid before taking in a concert at Jazzbones. We arrived early on a Friday and were the first ones seated that evening. The host/server was very welcoming and took our order promptly. As you can see from the pictures, the presentation of the food was above our expectations. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the coconuts prawns while our entrees were being prepared. The food was very flavorful and the portions were on par. For us, the best part in this dining out economy was the price. We felt that the experience was well worth what we paid.

I had the pleasure of coming across this place with my wife, while looking for a bite to eat on 6th ave. Our first time coming into this wonderful establishment we were enamored by the detail and cleanliness. We were seated right away, and within our first 15 mins received some of the best food, not to mention best service I’ve ever experienced at any restaurant. With an excellent duo of the owner and his wife, they’ve created a warm family business that is a must have if you are in the area. The detail of all their dishes is nothing short of immaculate, flavorful, and filled with soul. I spoke with the owner/chef personally and I can say after tonight on my 3rd visit this is one of my favorite restaurants hands down, I highly recommend the Red curry, Pad Thai, and cashew chicken!

Thai to die for!! If you've not eaten at The Wild Orchid you don't know what you're missing. The people there are amazing and you will make this your favorite place for a delicious night out or even to go. Don't wait, your taste buds will thank you. The preparation and taste of all their menus items are simply the best in town and beyond.

The good: the spring rolls are legit the best I've had, anywhere. Nice staff. The bad: not good at estimating their wait time for take out. I don't mind things taking a while but there's no place to sit and wait, so 45 minutes beyond the quoted time just sucks. And I've tried multiple dishes over several times ordering from here--all were just ok but not something I'd want to eat again.

We visited a second time while in Tacoma and our food and visit were wonderful. The spicy catfish was really unique and wonderful. Our son had Seven Flavor Beef and the spicing was interesting and delicious. The Singapore Noodles were also delicious- a light yellow curry and wonderful textures. We will definitely visit again.
