“The only reason i recommended black bear to anyone is for the coffee. But the owner zeke is an absolute creep and gets way to touchy and hands on with some of his baristas. I worked there back in 2016 or so and had the worst experience with him as he asked if I wanted help changing my shirt and bra and then touched my boob telling me "sorry you had a hair" told me he only hires girls with big boobs and that's why I got hired. Told me my moms boobs were big when she came through the stand as well. Never said anything cuz nobody else wanted to come forward and say anything so I left it but come to find out just a month or so ago he did it to a friend of mine that worked there. I hope nobody else experiences this with him and he truly does stop cuz its disgusting and so unprofessional.”

“I was one of the original beer tenders at this tap house. There were a lot of growing pains, a lot of hardship and camaraderie to make it work. That was then, now it looks like the beers are still cold and delicious, they've got cocktails (Which was a controversial take at the time, but it looks like they went high end with em which is awesome) and even though they took my favorite bratwurst off the food menu, I must say, their chef has his ducks in a row and the food is absolutely a must have for foodies in the area. Bravo, Juice Box. You're killing it.”

“We ordered fish and chips and clam strips baskets. I order fish and chips at any location that has it as its one of my favorite meal "treats" when I dine out. While fish and chips have a relatively simple flavor profile it does mean that the emphasis on the meal needs to be on its execution. For me I rate said meal on the amount and size of the fish/price point followed by how crispy the batter comes out versus the soft flakiness of the fish inside and then followed by the chips and the tartar sauce. At bill and beas they really nailed it. For 15 bucks you get 3 pieces of fish that is fried very well. The batter is not soggy but deliciously crisp while the fish meat inside is tender, juicy and lovely. For the fries you get a decent portion amount lightly seasoned(so not super salty). I would have preferred slightly crisper fries but I MUST emphasize that this is a personal preference and NOT a failing on how the establishment prepares the food. Some people like a softer fry as its easier to chew for those with sensitive teeth. What really impressed me was the brightness of the tartar sauce. Without enough pickle its just mayo with no taste and the point, I believe, of the tartar sauce is the balance out what is historically a greasier dish (again, not a failing on the establishment but a practical fact of the meal of choice). I believe its important to note that this is NOT a fast food restaurant. All their meals are prepared fresh and this is distinctly important as bill and beas is a cozy little place on the edge a major small town street. They have covered outdoor dining as well as a couple in door tables. I found the prices incredibly reasonable especially as a basic fish and chips meal anywhere else with 3 pieces of fish would cost you 20 or more for the same amount of food. My partner had the clam strips basket and while he would have preferred more of a clam flavor this, again, was largely just a preference and not at all indicative of the preparation as he also mentioned that the clam strips has a delightful crunch that wasn't to hard but instead uniform throughout the entire bite. He also said the generosity of the serving of strips was almost comparable to the amount of fries he had and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of the strips given the 13 dollar price point. In all we both highly recommend that you do not pass this space by and consider it for your next lunch time meal”

“Allergy family ordered 5 entrees and 2 orders of spring rolls to share, to go (⭐️s listed for spice, not rating - they’re all excellent!): ***Swimming Rama - chicken ⭐️ ***Honey walnut shrimp - ⭐️⭐️ ***Chicken chow mein - ⭐️⭐️ ***Vietnamese spring rolls 1 tofu, 1 shrimp ***Tofu pad Thai ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ***Ginger Garden w/tofu - dinner⭐️⭐️ The over-the-phone order taker was kind and respectful when I asked if they could accommodate our allergies (dairy & egg), which they were. Estimated cook time was surprisingly short and food was ready within a minute or two of that estimated time. Everything visible was absolutely clean and well maintained; we did not visit the restroom, but it would have shocked me if it wasn’t in excellent condition. We took our food home and had a family-style dinner. The least delicious item was the spring rolls - hear me out, they are *exactly* what you expect when you order Vietnamese spring rolls, everything else was simply over the top outstanding. No overpowering saltiness in the chow mein, a perfect balance of flavor, sweetness, and (albeit mild - cause Grandma doesn’t do spice) spice in the Swimming Rama. The pad Thai was flavorful and had a LOVELY texture that I don’t have words to describe. The Honey walnut shrimp was perfectly crispy without under or over cooking the shrimp (and the presentation in the to go container 😍). All the veggies, including in the Ginger garden were cooked to perfection and not a moment beyond. Even the rice was superb (sticky rice). My preschool aged child was impressed by the chef’s giant homegrown watermelon on display and is asking when we are going to get more spring rolls. You’ve read this far, just call or head over there! We will be back, for sure!”
