“Great Bagel shop! Came here with the family and we all had different things ranging from a blueberry bagel with butter, stock bagel sandwich, a breakfast bagel sandwich and a custom ham and cheese bagel sandwich they were more than willing to make.
It was steady the entire time but between in door and outdoor seating there was plenty of space. Definitely worth a go!“

“My favorite bagel spot in Portland, everything is delicious and the service is always super friendly. The only downside is there's no prepayment option - you can only call in to order, but then you still have to wait in the line to pay, even if your food's already ready. Worth the wait though, and the bagel sandwiches are my favorite of anywhere in the neighborhood and all of PDX!“

“Even though I travel the world touring with "my" artists, this was my first time in Portland, Oregon. Our friends booked us a personal guide (Adam Thorn Smith, highly recommended! ) who showed us around and made Yelp even sent us a message on the day like "wow - you know how to explore all hot spots on one day". So after the Japanese and Rose gardens, we took a first bite here at Henry Higgins, which was very good. I liked the ambiance, and the lady at the checkout was nice - just as you would expect from a place you go to ;-) I prefer places with tableside service - but we loved everything we had - and yes, I would even use the word great for their bagels. I will not understand, though, why my breakfast sandwich with a toasted bagel, cheese, egg, and meat and a small bag of chips was cheaper than my wife's same bagel with cream cheese and egg salad (no chips, no cheese, no meat). I generally also have a problem when places do not offer any service but take my order and make me pick up (= "over the counter-service" only), suggesting to tip the same amount as if I were in a full-service restaurant, particularly when they had charged restaurant prices in the first place ($6 for a coffee, $11 for a regular, toasted bagel with cream cheese and egg salad). Again, we liked the place, even loved the bagels, would come back - but to rate five out of five stars, "surprises" would have to be on the positive rather than negative side.“

“Consistently good bagels. The staff seemed a little overwhelmed when I visited but I got through the line on about 10 minutes. I was getting a dozen to go, so I didn't mind the wait. But I can't imagine making this a regular stop for a quick breakfast bite.“

“Awesome bagels and coffee, and a really nice vibe inside. I had a salt and herb bagel and it was truly fantastic. The art they have on display is also really nice. Plenty of space inside to work or meet a friend. Highly recommend this place.“

“The reviews weren't wrong! Wonderful pastries and excellent coffee. A small, cozy, spot with a very upscale vibe. Enjoyed an almond croissant, and a lemon scone. Both were very good, and the coffees were spot on! Very impressive, staff were friendly and quick also!“

“The bagels were great - exactly what we wanted.... the service, though, was like the girl behind the counter was bothered every time a customer came to the counter.
Another person in the party grabbed a 6 pack of assorted bagels and instead of getting to pick what he wanted in his 6 the *happiest of all customer service workers* handed him a bag with 6 random bagels- 3 of which were plain. When asked why he didn't get to pick the girl pointed and said, "That's a bag of assorted." And promptly turned and walked away.
If you don't have access to Einstein bagels at home (like us) this place will do the trick and get you the fluffy bagels your looking for. If you readily have access to a friendly Einstein bagel joint I advise sticking with that one.“

“There was a steady stream of people coming in, so it seems to be a popular spot in the area. Service was quick and friendly, and the bagels were pretty good. I especially liked their version of the “Everything” bagel, with a great spice mix and even distribution on both sides.“

“Simply the best bagels, so chewy and delicious, great cream cheese choices and a mix of classic and unique sandwiches. Great staff, great coffee (don't sleep on the dirty chai!!!), nice outdoor seating, truly it's always going to be a good day if it starts with one of these bagels!!!“
“Wow! Just wow!! I mean, did I say WOW? I went there specially for pumpkin pie. What i got was not just a pumpkin pie, it was a taste of absolute joy. Joy I say! Smooth, creamy, firm, but not too firm, a rich, utterly delicious crust that was more like layers than an actual crust. Moist through and through! When I get back down to Portland metro area again, it'll be my first place to go! You should make it YOUR first place to go to, too!! Simply wonderful!!!“
“Bagel was decent cream cheese is fake it was Newfoundland there was dirt everywhere all you have to do is look up it's completely dirty there's hair and grease everywhere if you look anything above the food line it's completely gross they should be reported to the Health Board the coffee was nasty I drank one sip through to it the bagel was decent but they need to clean and tell people that the cream cheese they're using is not cream cheese this Newfoundland I paid for more cream cheese and they put it heavy in front and then tilted it to where there was less in the middle and back so I did not get what I paid for it overall the experience left me mad for $8“

“I appreciate that they offer several vegan spreads--Cultured Kindness cashew cheese, hummus, peanut butter, strawberry jam, and Tofutti cream cheese. However, I ordered vegan bacon, cheese, and egg on a pumpernickel bagel. Note: Other than the cheddar flavors, the bagels are now vegan.“
