Was part of McKnight's school downstairs so it was awfully nice to have a coffee shop upstairs. Long classes so I needed a caffeine rush. I told the girl at the counter, whose name I forgot, that I had a really high tolerance to caffeine. I have had the Death Wish Coffee recently which didn't do anything to me so I needed to be at the 400-450 mg of caffeine. I'll be honest that I was a little disappointed at first that my latte tastes like a Starbucks coffee but later I realized that Black Rock is indeed a local coffee chain with mostly drive-through locations so I think they are aiming slightly differently than what I was looking for, which explains a lot. This location actually has a nice seating area (removed during the pandemic, unfortunately) with big bright windows facing the street. Friendly and fast service.

Enjoyable environment to make a stop and have a good coffee drink and just sit down and watch the interesting people that walk by. Can be quite comical at times. Staff are friendly and quick. Would recommend this as place to stop for coffee and people watch
