I’m not a kava drinker, but I found this place because I’m studying for an exam and needed a go-to spot that was open after typical work hours. I didn’t expect to find such friendly staff and customers. It’s clear to me that this a big spot for community, and I’m so glad Vancouver has a third space open late that isn’t a bar. I enjoy drinking my tea, studying here, and appreciating the atmosphere. For other non-kava drinkers, they have tea, juice, smoothies, açaí...
This Kava bar is great! We got the kava-chata (like horchata)- a mix of the strongest kava, oat milk, agave and cinnamon. Delicious and high-octane. My body felt super relaxed after 2 drinks. Great vibes and sweet staff (Dawn is a major sweetie). Wish they’d decorate to make this place feel more romantic cuz my partner and I would love to come here as part of date night. Overall, definitely happy with the experience and can’t wait to come back to try their cold brew coffee...
Kava is not cheap, but it is probably cheaper than being an alcoholic. It helps me get writing done, which is pretty cool. Kind of busy but also kind of a stimulant. This place is pretty chill, nice people nice environment. Good place to hang out with friends for a bit, or do some work.
