That was without a doubt, the worst Shawarma, I’ve ever had in my life. Shame on the owners for passing that concoction off as a legitimate sandwich.
I wouldn’t even call that middle eastern cuisine tbh.

This used to be a respectably delicious restaurant but !!!BEWARE!!!---THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP. As a result, the quality of the food has gone straight downhill!
While the service is good , the quality of the food have disappeared under the new owners.
I ordered the hummus bel laham . What I received for $21.00 was a tiny salad (which was good) and plate of soupy , sour , gritty , hummus with a few piece of supposedly lamb ( questionable !) . My dining partner ordered the mazza platter and left the entire plate , announcing that it was inedible. The pita served was cold, tough and hard . A completely disgusting food experience.
Final take---Unfortunately , the choice of middle eastern restaurants is limited in Vancouver but the Petra House on 164th is a great and tasty alternative to this place. The Nicholas Restaurant in Portland is also a quality and delicious alternative. I do not , as a rule, find myself giving bad reviews but I WILL NEVER BE BACK TO THE JERUSALEM CAFE!!!!!!!!

The food was lousy. We just walked out left 90% of our food. Told the waitress that it was horrible and all she did was laugh and go tell the other guy that we didn't like it. I would expect this type of place to have top notch hummus and pitas. The hummus was sour and the pitas came from a freezer. The shish kabob was a dry as a river bed and the salad tasted like fish. Would not recommend to anyone.

My new favorite Cafe
Very delicious and I can tell they put love in everything they serve. All other restaurants could learn this place. So glad I tried. Everyone needs to experience.

Really good place. I love this type of Mediterranean food. The salad was awesome, everything was clean and the service was excellent.

These folks claim to be open until 12-midnight and keep their doors open, BUT, regardless of all the tables they have in their restaurant, when you walk in, they don’t allow anyone to dine-in after the sun goes down. We tried coming here twice in the last few months to support their business, and they lose out on sales because they don’t allow us or anyone to dine-in. Change your “Open Hours” to reflect what you actually offer to your customers. That’s okay, we ended up going to Kabob City Grill, where it is cleaner, has great customer service, doesn’t turn us away when we want to dine-in; Don’t tell your customers you’re open if you don’t plan on allowing them to dine-inside.

Just had the worst Baba Ghanouj I have ever had in my life. It's like someone poured canned Ghanouj or squeezed lemon (preservative). And pay top dollar for it? Even the lamb and chicken were borderline and fail.

The fries and Kafka were the best food items served. The portions were small for the price. The schwarma sandwiches were not tasty and the seasoned rice was super bland and looked like it was scooped at a cafeteria. Server was pleasant and attentive. The place was clean and atmosphere was pretty nice. Maybe we made poor choices for our meals but the three meals we did order did not meet our expectations.

I pick up a gyro to go about once a week. The quality is consistently good. They're open later than most places in the neighborhood. Always ready promptly and with polite service.
