All hawaiian BBQ is most heavily graded on its mac salad. This is some haloè mac salad, so salty it was almost inedible and way too much pepper. Teriyaki chicken was ok, Kalua pork just tasted like brined shredded pork no smoke. Cost me 20 bucks but for this quality its worth maybe 12. If you are looking for a taste of the Āina this ain't it.

We had ordered the Aloha plate with white rice and an order of spam musubi from DoorDash of whom didn’t check if the order was correct. I then called the restaurant and explained the situation to the manager, Kyle, where he quickly said he would remake the whole order for us at no charge. The food is amazing with great flavor and quantity, but honestly good customer service is rare these days, so to find a place that has great food AND amazing service, is a place will will frequent often! Thank you to Kyle and his crew for providing not only amazing food but genuinely great customer service!!! We will definitely be back soon!

First time eating here, can’t recommend it due to poor attention to detail and service. I ordered online 45 mins ahead for pick up-order wasn’t ready upon arrival, order was missing an item, then they dropped an item, then they were out of an item and couldn’t refund me so I had to order something else so they could discount the new order with the balance owed, once filled the order was missing 1/3rd of the kids meals (called rice, kind of hard to miss the rice…) definitely won’t go back. My online swing by order took an extra 25 minutes. I still gave 2 stars because the food did taste good, and the young man who helped me was very kind, apologetic and polite. But I can’t recommend it. Hopefully in store orders go better.
Not good enough for a one star but that's the lowest available option. We tried this place, because we love Hawaiian food, but were extremely disappointed. The food was overcooked and overseasoned. The fountain drinks were so low on syrup that it was like drinking straight carbonated water. We mentioned this to the server, but they did nothing about it. The staff was extremely unfriendly, and not at all customer friendly. Needless to say, we will not be back and certainly not recommend this place to others.
Workers seemed really unorganized and unaware of the workflow. I stood for a while at the “order here” sign before a worker even noticed I was there and took my order. Several other parties were waiting on orders and hadn't been rung up while waiting. I ordered and paid for a lava cake and it wasn't in the bag when I got home and unpacked the food. When I called to let them know, the person answering the phone just said “hello?” and I had to ask if it was Kokonut IG. I thought I’d dialed the wrong number. I had to drive back to the restaurant to get the cake, but they did offer to refund it for the hassle, which I appreciated. This restaurant has potential as the food was good! They need to work on how they engage customers and refining the workflow though to really shine.

Pre-ordered 2 family feasts for my daughters 13th Birthday! She wanted kalua pork. We get to the restaurant and our order isn't ready, and they were completely out of pork. We had to wait for them to make the chicken, it was overcooked. Each family meal increased by $18. From 49.99 to 67.99. Not worth the price what so ever. The rice was overcooked and mushy, last time we went there it was under cooked. I never leave negative reviews but after spending $150 on dinner last night and being disappointed I want others to know. Don't waste your hard earned cash here. We will be finding a new Hawaiian restaurant from now on.

I’m in utter shock!Family in town and wanted rice and Mac salad to accompany our home cooked kahlua pork. Stopped here and asked for enough to feed 8 people. I left with 3 containers of Mac salad and 2 rounds of plain rice. I was charged over $67.00!!?I didn’t realize not paying too much attention at the time because of the staff trying to figure out my order and the guy with long red hair continuously running his hand through his hair.??I’m just sick about this!!!! Tried calling but you can’t reach them!I will NEVER go back!!!! Being charged that much for rice and noodles?????I was totally taken advantage of.And shame on me for not being more vigilant in the transaction.

I dined in at the Kokonut Island Grill and the food was excellent. I had plenty of leftovers and they reheated well the next day. The staff was friendly and helpful and answered a lot of questions. So much so, that I decided to have them cater our daughters Sweet 16 birthday party.

Giving the Atmosphere a 1 because I walked in at 5:30 pm today and unfortunately the tables were filthy, the kitchen area had not been swept all day with pieces of meat and sauce on the floor, dirty napkins as well, dirty food gloves everywhere on the floor, rice on the counters, on the grill, on the floor, and empty pots were laying on the floor and counters. The food service area looked like it hadn't been wiped down since the day before. It was my first time in and I guess I thought for a new chain restaurant it would be cleaner. Otherwise, the food was good.

Stood at the counter for awhile while the staff determined who was going to help us. They were out of the sauces we requested, she mumbled and just grabbed an entirely different sauce, who knows what it was. The food was okay at best, definitely not worth the price we paid. And, to top it all off, my stomach was in absolute knots before we even left the restaurant. Will not be returning.

I ordered a lil luau plate with pulled pork and north shore fried chicken. It came with two scoops of rice and a scoop of Mac salad. The price for the portion was ridiculous. I paid $16.75 plus taxes for a small Hawaiian plate. I could go to a nice restaurant and get a full meal for that price. That alone would be enough for me not to come back. Pulled pork is my favorite item to order at any Hawaiian restaurant. The pulled pork here was incredibly fatty that I couldn't even eat it.The service was quite terrible. There were two people working around 11:30am. They both looked like they didn't even want to be there nor did they seem to know what they were doing. The space is set up like an open kitchen which was incredibly filthy. The lobby was also disgusting - dirty and sticky tables, sticky floors and it smelled terrible in there. For coming it right after they open at 11am, there is no reason a restaurant should be that dirty. This place seems disorganized with untrained staff and no health or sanitary standards.

I have come in, probably 10 or more times. The food is great! Young staff, so patience is sometimes necessary. Any mess ups and they are so quick to help you sort it out. They have been such a great place to have so close to home! If you give it a chance you won't be sorry, I haven't been sorry once yet. You have to try their Lava cakes! So yummy!
Vegetarian options: Salad and rice options, so many sauces and dressings!

First impression 6 months ago - this place is amazing. Second and third impression in the last 2 months - avoid it, not worth the money. The food is decent, but something has changed and the portions have been cut in half. Normally with take-out, the entire container would be filled. Now it's barely filled. I typically would place a order and have enough for lunch the next day. Now it's simply an overpriced ($20+) dinner, not worth it at all. There are other Hawaiian places in Vancouver for a similar price point, better food and decent serving size.

We used to love this place and ordered from them frequently. Unfortunately their food quality and service has gone down hill. Their Katsu used to be delicious and now it is essentially chicken strips. This last order they forgot the rice entirely on every single order. Just not with the money at all.

Edit: this place is going downhill quickly. Portions are even smaller and prices going up. Will not return. I understand weighing the meat portions, but not the rice or macaroni salad. You can do better. Barely got 1.5 scoop of rice and 3/4 scoop of mac salad. To top that off you raised the price by a buck.
