One of the problems with living in Mexico for three years is that when you return to the states it is really hard to find good Mexican food and drink. This place looked like it was going rock the drinks with all their tequila and mezcal options, but the cocktails were just so-so and pretty weak. They say they use a homemade mix... Why? It is so simple to make them fresh. The food wasn't good in our opinion, to someone that has never been to Mexico I'm sure it would...
The service was super slow, even though it was practically empty. We were there during happy hour, but apparently they won't let you take any happy hour food home with you?! I've never heard of such a ridiculous policy. The happy hour prices aren't even that discounted. For example, the happy hour portion of the toquitos is half the size but $10 instead of $16, so more than half the price. I got the regular order of toquitos so I could take what I didn't finish...
Great service with a large group! Drinks were great and all came out at same time with a large group. Food came out all together and we were well taken care of. Drinks were great, food was fine.
