I grew up coming here as a kid with my grandma and father, before they closed. The nostalgia is real. But that does not influence this review. I have noticed most of the low reviews are from people with unrealistic expectations. This is not your traditional taqueria. This hometown gem in Minnehaha hits the spot everytime. The burrito supreme is a time warp to 1988 when things were simple and my food didn't need a gimmik or advertising campaign.
For me this location is nestolgia. I grew up next to the original resteraunt from 1980 to 1990 and remembered it burning down. It sat there for a few decades and a few years ago, it was opened again. From what I think I heard from the people working there, the daughter reopened. I have now visited a dozen times and enjoy they location and food. Just today I rode by on my motorcycle and stopped in for the ultimate tostada. This is a spot actually worth checking out as a great locally...
