I just ate there and am disappointed. The owner behind the counter and the young lady serving me were fine and polite. The menu asks that you mark off the pieces that you want and I did so. I had to remind the young lady that it had two sides. I would have enjoyed a couple more napkins and would have ordered another glass of wine if anybody had bothered to check in while I was there.
I had the eel and a spider roll which had more of the sweet sauce than I personally care for. All of the food was competently prepared, nothing was bad. Nothing was exceptional. Pricing was a little on the high side I thought. Perhaps I'm just old and grumpy, but if I think if I do all of the ordering work, and all the payment work and don't get any service, that maybe the food should be not on the high side.

Really wanted to like this place over the years. I think about 6 years ago we like it more. Last two times we’ve been here, the service has slipped to the point where we felt we were being ignored. There’s an expectation of service where you get seated, get water, get drinks, then they take your order. When you sit for a long time without being asked for at least more than water - there’s a problem. The food is great. But they need to work on the service. Can get kind of loud in there but there’s not much can be done about that. Anyhow, sad to say we have a place nearby that we will eat sushi from now on. Hope this helps them improve.

Pretty average for domestic sushi. Fish was overall, reasonably fresh but the Maguro was pretty much tasteless. Tempura was very good with a nice light batter. Thumbs up there. The miso soup however was disappointing as there was no dashi flavor - just very salty with too much miso.
