Amazing Terra Mia pizza. Great menu options, and friendly waitress. Highly recommended, but would definitely make a reservation

Rude staff and food poisoning
We had high hopes for this place and were very excited about the Neapolitan pizzas. The photos from other reviewers looked legit. Started with a Caesar salad which was nothing special and drenched in the dressing.
You can always tell the quality of a Neapolitan pizza place by their margherita, and this one was unfortunately not very good. The crust was on the light and chewy side, but the sauce tasted like it was taken directly from the can/jar. It all didn’t come together for that delicious margherita flavor. We also tried the Honey Salume which was decent because it had a lot more going on flavor-wise to mask the boring sauce.

Truly excellent pizza, including gluten free crusts that would fool you into thinking they're not. They focus on less toppings with interesting flavors as opposed to places that pile on the toppings.
The setting is rather casual. They don't have free iced tea refills, which feels strange these days. But all the food is great!
If you want GF crust, it's recommended to call in advance and reserve it. Some days they run out quickly!
(edit, a couple years later -- we've stopped visiting because of their inflexibility; while the food is great, there are already limited choices and if you have any dietary restrictions, or even just a strong dislike of a topping, you could be limited to only a couple choices. No modifications of their pizzas whatsoever.)

I got the margarita pizza with prosciutto added and it was very good. The waitress was nice, but it seemed like they forgot about my order which was bummer. I watched the staff stand around and people come in, eat, and leave, as I waited for my food. The patio looked nice and would probably eat out there rather than inside. Overall it was good and curious to try other pies.

Pizza was how neopolitan pizza should be, dough was soft and the toppings were delicious. We walked in on a Wednesday afternoon to place a to go order. Staff were friendly, the restaurant is small but appeared to be clean and organized. Will return soon to eat in and try other items on the menu.

La Sorrentino. What a disappointment. Again. The first time we got a pizza for take out. We had guests. It was raw. Embarrassing, but hardly our fault. We fired up the oven and finished baking it. We let a lot of time pass before we returned. A lot! But tonight we decided to take a chance. Sigh. We started with a caprese salad. It’s August! Tomatoes and basil are at their peak. The tomatoes were pale and mealy. Really? The basil was meh. The pizza—wait for it—was raw. AGAIN. For reals doughy yuck. Honestly. Our server, bless her heart, reminded me that it’s a Neapolitan-style pizza. I informed her, ever so kindly, that I’ve been to Italy. Not going back. Ever.
Terrible service.. I wouldn’t come here if you want to be treated as a number not a guest. The manager was rude beyond rude, staff told us to follow them, then said wait back at the front because they needed to rearrange the table that was supposedly already ready for us.. had to wait for another 15 mins for that.
When we were finally seated, they said they were out of the large pizza dough, at a primarily pizza restaurant.. what a joke.
They could have mentioned that when guests arrive vs seated..
We were only left with the choices on the kids menu, the manager refused to accommodate orders and was blaming us for not wanting to order anything else on the menu.
There's a much better place not too far away called Pizza Rio Otto, we went there right after this terrible place and had the most pleasant experience, greeted and treated like customers not bags of money.

You will need a reservation, even during the week. The pizza tasted great, but the crust was soggy. Not sure if it is always that way because they had an outdoor party of 20+ that was clogging up pizza orders.

Tucked away in a small shopping center
this place is one of the best places to get pizza in Vancouver. The owner and the staff are some of the friendliest you encounter.
