The coffee shop is pretty popular so it can get very busy. They make up for that by providing a lot of seating. If you come around 12pm, there will be no where to sit. The coffee I had that day didn't taste very good. The shot seemed to be very bitter, even though I had sweetener. I also purchased a small cake/muffin and it didn't taste very good either. I'd still come back to give them another shot :)

The interior of the coffee shop is designed in a modern style, and the staff’s service is very friendly and great! After drinking hand-brewed coffee, I felt that the aroma was not deliberately emphasized, and the temperature of the hand-brewed coffee was also very high. All in all, it's not my personal favorite. Other drinks are okay.

The way these people acted during covid was criminal.

They policed the sidewalk and told people outside to wear masks. Put up signs in the middle of the sidewalk to tell people to wear masks.

Top it off, coffee is terrible.

I honestly hope the owner gets sued for their behavior. Now that culture is changing I think people are more open to pursuing lawsuits against people who violated HIPA.

Incredibly busy but unremarkable. I truly cannot reccomend yay or nay if the coffee was good.

Waiting until after I pay/tip is NOT the time for you tell me you can't warm up a croissant.

When I oredered one warmed‐up for here before paying, THAT was the time to say so.

The pastries and drinks are consistently delicious, especially the London Fog with their Lavender Earl Grey Syrup. The prices are fairly high, but worth indulging in.

Coffee is good but the prices are excessive. I paid $7.63 for an 8oz latte ($0.65 for house syrup, $1 almond milk, $1 tip).

My experience with relevant coffee spans from 2022 to now (2024). I haven’t left a review until now, and it’s unfortunate because up until a couple months ago this was my go-to cafe. It has now happened twice that I have had objectively bad experiences. Once, I explicitly and clearly asked for a drink, got treated like an idiot - needing to repeat everything twice, and then got the wrong drink - which I believe was done on purpose: the person making the drink remarked “I didnt hear you ask for iced either…”. I ended up not having time to switch it out. I think someone working at the cashier is really ruining your local clientele.

Today, my husband got me a drink but they served him something different than what was ordered. He doesn’t drink coffee so he didn’t check if it was correct (but honestly who taste tests coffee for people they order for??) and now I have paid 8-9 dollars for the wrong drink as well as not feeling great. You never know what people are going through and having rude people working for you can really start someone’s day off on the wrong foot, completely unnecessary, not to mention the cost involved. Its not Portland - I am sorry these prices are way too high for the value. If you’re going to charge 9 bucks for a coffee, you should at least be able to hire positive, respectful staff.

The staff is very friendly, patient and super kind. I loved the collection of vegan pastries that were available. I had the vegan Philly cake and vegan apple walnut muffin. The cortado was great as well. I liked the ambience of the place and could spend time working or just chilling.

Vegetarian options: They have a vegan pastry collection.

I ordered two cups of the seasonal coffee, and they were both outstanding. To my surprise, even the croissants and vegetable pastries were impressive. The ambiance was comfortable, and the barista was thoughtful enough to write the names of each coffee on the plates, making it easy for us to tell them apart. It’s a small gesture, but it really added a touch of sweetness to the experience.

Great place to get a coffee and write. I even see people painting here in their notebooks. Very casual with good food. It's a hub of activity and right in the heart of Vancouver where poetry and art meet.

Vegetarian options: Vegan drink and food options

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options

Kid-friendliness: Brought my daughter here. It has space for her to move and be semi-loud without disturbing others.

I have mixed feelings about this place because it's where my GF and I had our first date. Despite the successful date/relationship, the coffee here is meh, and the lines/wait time/lack of seating make it a destination I wouldn't care to revisit often. The actual design/layout of the place is nice, but they're too popular to warrant the wait. Check it out during non busy times.
