The coffee is excellent. It is very close to our favorite place in Saint Paul, MN, where there's nice, sticky, oily, residue left in the cappuccino cup afterwards. The coffee drinks are a tiny bit pricier than other places but we think it's worth it. The breakfast sandwiches are delicious. It's a great place to do some work. I don't expect people to be super friendly all the time, but their staff usually seems a little standoff-ish, hence the 4 stars for service.
Barista was great! Beautiful latte art and decent espresso. I would love to stay, but the shop smells just like their St. John's location. I'm not sure if it's their espresso, building, or if they actually use artificial fragrances in the shop. It's this overwhelming sweet piney smell, and it is nauseating to those who may be sensitive to smells. Was visiting family in Vancouver and stopped by this coffee shop multiple times for coffee and pastries. The staff was friendly, coffee and baked goods were excellent, and I loved the ambience as well.
