Honestly don't eat here if you're vegetarian or vegan. They don't use spices, (like ya know, basil or garlic) on their veggies beans or rice, just hella salt. This isn't a problem for meat eaters because they spice the meat. The owners don't eat vegetarian so they have no clue how completely lame their veggie options are. I paid extra for extra rice and beans and even still, at double the price, there was barely enough to call it a normal plate of food....
This used to be a great place and had wonderful food. First time back since new ownership, and so different. Had the fish tacos as usual, but they were mostly deep fried batter...if there was any fish in there at all was hard to tell. My friend had a burrito with sour cream and guacamole extra....and they put all that in one end of the burrito, so that you had to take the whole thing apart to get the guacamole distributed throughout the whole burrito. It was a take out order...ordered...
I got the Pozole which was supposed to be pork butt simmered in verdo broth, but was more like soup with a few small pieces of meat. Even the staff said it's more like pho. So if you're in the mood for soup with a tiny bit of meat, go for it. It did taste good, but if you're looking for meat, give it a hard pass. My wife got the fish taco which was okay, but not nearly as good as what you get at El Viejón Taquería y Mariscos' food truck.
