Is this place worth a trip to Vashon? Probably. Definitely if you live in North America already. This place masquerades as a super-low-key bottle shop connected to an ice cream parlor/arcade, but it's more than that. The beer and wine selections are masterfully curated, and while the staff seem like super laid back people who just want to make sure you're having a good time, asking a few questions about anything makes you realize that they're actually complete experts about everything there, and will happily teach you anything about anything they sell there if you ask about it. And don't get me started on the food. Anything you order will be delicious and underpriced.Bring your kids, shove them off into the arcade and enjoy a couple hours there. It is one of my favorite things now.Kid-friendliness: Unassuming atmosphere and there is an arcade/ice cream shop next door, my kid loves this place.

Great fries. I don’t love the style of teriyaki. I really appreciate the gender neutral bathrooms and that they have a few hard ciders to choose from. I don’t like that they put CBD drinks in the job-alcoholic section since kids select from there.

The crispy tofu teriyaki had a tiny drizzle of teriyaki sauce- not close to enough to flavor the rice or tofu. I was just eating plain (very dry) rice and extremely bland fried tofu. It’s also overpriced for what it is, and they ask for a 15% minimum tip on top of that. The service was also quite poor. The employee handed me my food with his back turned and quickly ran away, no “enjoy” or anything.

My friend and I visited Pop Pop Bottle Shop this past weekend and had lunch there. The space is beautiful and had a fun and relaxing vibe. The shop also had a HUGE selection of wine, cider, and non-alcoholic drinks in the fridge as well as beverages on tap. The food was SO GOOD. I got the deluxe lunch with an egg on top. The chicken was juicy, the salad was refreshing, and the fried crunchy roll had a lot of flavor! I was a little intimidated by the chili crisp oil but it brought it all together! Lastly, the staff (chef and the person behind the counter - should have asked for their names) were so kind. Lovely humans.

The place itself has a cute atmosphere and the kids did enjoy their ice cream. Just be warned about the confusing policies about their drinks... my family was on its way to a BYOB backyard music show on Vashon a few weeks ago so we were happy to find that this place sold a variety of beer/wine choices (including six packs of beer, bottles of wine, individual cans of beer/cider, beer on tap, glasses of wine...). We asked if we were allowed to walk out with the cans that we bought or if we had to drink them there, and we were told that either was fine. They explained that there was a corkage fee for the bottles of wine which was fine because we didn't plan to open a bottle. Since we had some time to kill, we decided to sit down to enjoy some of the individual cans and some glasses of wine (poured at their counter and not a purchased bottle) which wasn't a problem. However, one of the men working came over and very sternly talked to my brother in law who later opened a beer from one of the six packs that he bought. Apparently there is a corkage fee for beers if opened from a six pack, but not from the individual cans sold (also: my out of state brother-in-law wasn't with us when this was explained). I feel like this policy should've been better explained, possibly posted or written out somewhere. He could've left it at a simple explanation but was insinuating that it was already explained to us and that we were trying to get away with not paying the fee. The corkage fee for the six packs was never discussed and we were told that we could choose whether to enjoy the drinks we bought there or when we left so you can see where the confusion came from. My brother-in-law stopped and that was that, but that man kept glaring at us behind the counter from afar. While I was sorry that there was a misunderstanding, I didn't appreciate the tone and accusation.

Terrific food and service in a warm atmosphere that appeals to both locals and tourists. I like being able to get a beer and food while kids run next door for arcade and periodically circle back for food.

Totally unclear to me why, at press time, this place has only 4.4 stars. Wonderful selection and a great ambience to sit and enjoy your drink. Also, fairly expansive gluten free beer offerings!

The teriyaki chicken was dry AF. The teriyaki sauce just barely colored the rice.

This is hands down the best teriyaki chicken I have ever had! I just finished it and I am scheming about my next visit. I would literally pay the ferry toll just to come to Vashon for this teriyaki. Amazing char, umami BOMB, crispy edges, fresh and crispy lumpia, great Mac salad and 'normal' salad. COME HERE AND GET YOURSELF A TERIYAKI DELUXE!

I was warned not to bring my service dog if I visited this place. Previously a person was denied service by the owner when they tried to enter with their service dog. I was shown the encounter and it was not a very nice encounter. My dog is trained to direct pressure therapy for my anxiety and confrontations are a no go. The owner was not present but I chose not to enter while my friends purchased ice cream. We all decided never to return.
