The Red Bicycle is a bar, restaurant, music venue and a sushi bar. The previous owners were an historic island family and were said to be the inspiration behind Ma an Pa Kettle, the author having lived here decades ago. For years the locals still called it by their family's name. About 2007 the new owners took over and turned the place around. Upgraded all the guest areas and added the sushi bar and chef and through their connection with Jazz Alley started getting good bands...
I liked it just fine. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary though. I saw the very extensive sushi selection and was quite impressed. 5 or 6 stores from my home area couldn't combine to make this list. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive... to the large party next to us. We had no problems but waiting for drink refills and to be checked on was impatient work as we'd wanted to leave.
Funky vibe, great people, great food, and clean restrooms! We love this place, great burgers, and great Sushi! It is located on the main street in Vashon, with lots of parking. The staff is fun and friendly even to outsiders!
