My burger was a bit red, undercooked but very good. (I wasn’t asked how I wanted it cooked. I also asked for no cheese, but it still came with it.) Walking in for the first time, it was unclear the name was no longer the same, had changed to Bacchus. The Sandpiper Cafe is one of the best kept secrets on the island! The salads and sandwiches are wonderful. I loved the cashew chicken sandwich. The fish and chips are truly, honestly, really the very best on Vashon! The outdoor patio is covered and very comfortable with padded seats and water and condiments available. When the weather is good, the food and views there cannot be beat, anywhere on the island. Should it be too chilly or wet, dine inside. Ordering is done at the counter...
