Wow! My family came in for a wine tasting and Eric blew us away with his wine knowledge. We learned so much and had a blast!! He is so passionate about wine and his job, which makes the whole wine tasting extra ordinary.
We thoroughly enjoyed our wine tasting experience! Three of us had the red wines and one had the white wines; we were all pleased with our choices. Eric enthusiastically explained each of the wines and threw in some interesting stories to make the whole experience fun. The charcuterie was delicious and creatively presented, the wines were amazing, and the scenery was beautiful. Because we were able to sit outside, we could enjoy the views in every direction. Long Shadows Winery is a must-visit destination for wine enthusiasts. Located just outside of Walla Walla, this winery offers an exceptional tasting experience in a breathtaking setting. The Chihuly-inspired tasting room and picturesque countryside views create a posh, yet welcoming ambiance. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and personable, making visitors feel like friends enjoying a glass of wine together. The winemaker, Gilles, is adept at his craft, and the selection of wines, such as Feather, Sequel, Saggi, Piroette, Poet's Leap, and Julia's Dazzle, are universally praised by guests.
The winery is situated up on a little hill, and the outdoor patio has a lovely view of the area. Visitors are greeted and seated immediately upon entering, and the tasting fees can be waived if they purchase a mixed case of wine. The winery sources its grapes from different vineyards across Washington, including Yakima, Columbia Valley, and Red Mountain, and partners with best-in-class winemakers from across the world to create its exceptional wines.
