Where do we start? Amazing rockfish, ling cod, and salmon. The dungeness crab was delightful and the upstairs bartender was so accommodating. Thank you for the peanuts from Yakima! Definitely a must when in Westport!

I have been on a life long quest to find another place on earth that can rival the Mulkeltio Wa Ferry Dock Ivars for Fish and Chips. Well Merino's has done it! Solid 10 outof 10. We had the Halibut. Be warned, it is is fairly expensive and also be warned, this place is super popular so there will be a wait at nearly all times of the day. Worth It!

4 choices of fish for fish and chips! I don't even normally order fish and chips. Asked a local and Lingcod was highly recomended. We also ordered a qrt of clam chowder. The fish was very good. The clam chowder had lots of flavors we were not used to as we never had pacific clam chowder before. I really liked it, my wife prefers more of a new england chowder.

The fish n chips were good but that was overshadowed by the terrible service. We placed our order and received a buzzer to tell us when our food would be ready. After 25 minutes, the people behind us in line had gotten their food. I asked the guy at the counter if our food was still coming and he immediately said yes it was. We waited another 20 minutes and then asked again. He then went downstairs to the kitchen to check even though we were sitting right there. If I hadn’t asked we could have sat there for the rest of the night and he wouldn’t have cared or noticed that our food hadn’t arrived. When he came back from the kitchen he said that they had gotten confused and thought they had already prepared it when in fact they hadn’t. He then assured us, “we’re going to make it right and give you some extra fish.” I wish I had responded faster and told him not to do this since we didn’t have a refrigerator where we were staying. IMO a restaurant should give at least a partial refund in a situation like this. We finally got our food after nearly an hour of waiting on a not too busy night, couldn’t finish it, and left with a bad taste in our mouth. The fish n chips were good. The tartar isn’t the most interesting though. I’ll never go back after this experience.
