A great spot, can be crowded at times but worth the 10 min. Wait.

Every time I drive to/past/through White Salmon, I make it a point to stop here. The coffee is great, but the pastries are even better.

WSB does a fantastic job with their delicious bread and pastries. The pear galette I had today was outstanding. But the service is occasionally indifferent and today is was dismissive and rude. I know it’s not always easy to find service oriented people, but they need to at least be kind and helpful. One shouldn’t have to beg for a clean fork…Otherwise, this bakery will not disappoint.

This hopping place is packed with locals and visitors at nearly any hour they are open. Wholesome food, generous portions, changing soup and sandwich specials. We over-ordered. The bowls of soup are big with bread on the side and the cookies are ginormous. We saved the sandwich with chips that we intended to share for our next day’s lunch. Everything tastes absolutely delicious. It can be a little hard to find seating given the popularity.

Best Bakery in the Gorge. We love having this as an option in White Salmon.

Protip - if you order things visible from the counter, you get your stuff immediately and are in and out. If you order things from the kitchen, expect a wait.

Update: after a year with the new owners, I have to take a star away. Service is much worse. Its basically worthless showing up on the weekends after 830a because they don't make enough food and most items are sold out. They also got rid of the best items on the menu and eliminated pizza night. The ham and cheese crossoint is still great if you can find one, but 7 times out of 10 they are sold out. I just waited 40 minutes in line only for the crossoints to be totally gone, the baked goods cabinet mostly empty, and the last savory bun got bought by the person in front of me.

What's not to like? Great food (and many options), great views outside, great people inside and out - one of the best bakeries we've encountered!

This bakery has wonderful cardamom rolls. Unfortunately, I no longer come here because the bridge toll is a total scam. I do not appreciate getting ripped off for crossing the bridge and I am not giving this bakery or town any more of my business until it’s fixed.

Stop by here when in town every couple months. Staff always friendly, and the kids love watching them make the bread. Always get a breakfast sandwich and splurge on yummy pastries or desserts. It was a HOT weekend and came in around lunch, so only picked up a few pastries for the next morning, which even being eaten the next day still delish. Always go for a Cardamom Bun! BUT this gave us an opportunity to try more desserts than we have in the past.
Tropical Fruit Tart - Heavenly, coco-nutty, light and refreshing, great for a warm day.
Berry & Cream Tart - same...fresh fruits, creamy, not too sweet, yum.
Tiramisu Tart - Divine! Chef's kiss, not too big, not too small, light, yet indulgent. Highly recommend.
Only comment this time is consistency. We came in on a Sunday and the desserts looked right out of a cooking magazine, especially the Berry & Cream tart. Came back on Monday to pick up a few for the road and they were out of Tiramisu Tarts (sad face) but understand items change depending on the day. But sadly disappointed in the Berry Tart, looked nothing like the day prior, as if someone just threw the berries on and no where near as many berries or appealing as Sunday's tarts. Guess I'll be back on Sundays.
