Great little bakery. Lots of choices. The sausage is incredible. Service was excellent. Lots of fun watching them toss the dough.

A must-stop anytime you're in or near Hood River. 100% worth the trip and the wait in line!

We make sure to grab some of the staples, like croissants and loaves of bread, and supplement with additional fun & new items we haven't tried before. Always a treat!

The best breakfast spot in this tiny town! Everything is just really solidly executed, from the pastries to the eggs and sweet dishes.

Delicious pastries. Horrible coffee. I couldn’t finish it due to the horrible burnt taste of the beans 👎🏼 .

To be fair, we got a coffee before it was busy and it tasted great. Second coffee —when it got busier, was trash!! They gotta recalibrate their grinding and pulling extraction when gets busy…

This place was an excellent spot for breakfast. The avocado toast was absolutely delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the sweet peas inside.
Pastry was delicious and fresh!

The coffee wasn’t to my taste, but overall, I had a great time. The patio seating was great, offering a beautiful view of the mountains.

The hype about the food is 100% real, however, adding this review to the masses of good ones to speak to the service here.

The employees are so kind — I came in with an injured knee, and they gave me a large bag of ice and a rag. Also, my dumb boyfriend (totally joking he is lovely) dropped our fruit tart on the way out, and they gave us the last one for free.

But yeah, the food is absolutely insane. Highly recommend the huckleberry cream cheese braid and the spinach artichoke croissant.

(Tbh coffee cake was eh — I would get something else)

We came for breakfast and lunch in our one day in White Salmon.

I waited 25 minutes for a tuna melt. It was not busy at the time and there were plenty of staff. The stoned kids in the back appeared to just not care and were too busy being clowns. They could probably use some adult supervision. The actual sandwich was luke warm and not well made. Bummers all around.

The Gorge Bar and Coyote Bar were exceptional. Everything was flavorful and you can taste the freshness.

This is the place to go in the area for sandwiches, pastries, bread and coffee. Everything I tried was delicious! You really can't go wrong. Try a few things, you won't regret it.

I looked forward to coming to WSBC every time I come through the area. Today, passing through on my way back north, I ordered the cherry custard pastry and hazel nut pastry. I was pretty disappointed in the bread on both - they were crumbly and flakey and tasted more like day old pastries. Not sure if there has been an ingredient switch up since the last time I visited. Hoping it was just a fluke and looking forward to trying again next time I pass through, but figured it was worth leaving a review incase something has changed (that should change back!)

I suspect we must have visited this place on a bad day, given that the reviews are generally high. Sadly, that was not our experience. Our order was simple--two pastries, a mocha and a flat white. The pastries were fine, though it would have been nice if we'd been told where to find utensils and napkins; but it was a beautiful day, so that wasn't too big a deal.

Since the quality of a mocha is in the eyes of the drinker, I'll say that my husband's mocha was "adequate". Unfortunately, the same can't be said about my drink, which was served with a heaping helping of Attitude. Understanding that a "flat white" can be confusing, I asked the cashier to please make it "zero foam". When I picked up the drink, it had a good 1 1/2 inches of foam, which sat an inch below the rim of the drink. OK, maybe there was a miscommunication, so I asked the barista to please remove the foam and was told it was already no foam. I explained that 1 1/2 inches of foam was not a "flat white", at which the drink was grabbed from my hand and poured out. The barista went on to remake the drink (which was unnecessary). When the new drink was placed on the counter, I got a glare, before the barista turned back to the espresso machine.

The following day, we visited Nativ Cafe for our coffee fix. They were friendly, courteous and made a terrific pair of coffee drinks for us.
