“We took a short motorcycle ride from North Bend to Carbonado, we were going to the saloon there, but they weren’t open, so we switched and stopped at the Pick and Shovel instead. I’m so glad we did because it was a delicious burger with some amazing onion rings. If you haven’t tried them before I highly suggest you do. Also, the bartender/waitress was very good at her job. The omakase experience is where Sushi Kuma really shines. Not only is the price amazing for what you get, but the sheer abundance and variety make it feel like a full culinary journey. I’m used to the traditional omakase style where you’re served piece by piece, but here it felt so much more thoughtful and generous. There were starters, appetizers, beautifully prepared sashimi, a wide selection of nigiri and sushi, incredible entrées, and even dessert to finish things off. From start to finish, the entire experience was marvelous”

“The atmosphere is peaceful and the people working are so kind and I love seeing the home schooling, Mother's with babies meeting other Mothers with babies and there are groups that meet and go over the Bible and groups of ladies that meet and talk it's always a pleasant experience going in there this is my place for peace and relaxation and good conversations and I love that three generations of family members do the roasting, packaging, and labeling of the coffee and they donate some of the coffee they roast to a local food bank for others to enjoy I could go on and on but to sum it up I love them all like family and it brings me joy even if I'm only walking through the building on my morning walk to just see their faces and say hello”

“Friendly baristas, really good coffee. They have a wide variety of cup sizes. I normally can’t drink a lot of coffee and their smallest size was perfect. I didn’t see any places to sit but that was fine in my case bc I had somewhere else to go.
I’m not from around here but I really wish I had this place where I live! They have so many yummy looking items on the menu that I would wanna try.”

“I decided to give the new pizza a second go and although it was from a different location, I am much more satisfied the second time around.
I think that patrons need to be aware that there's only so much cheese in the crust and should consider getting extra. And I also did the creamy red sauce and extra pineapple for the Hawaiian pizza. Turned out really good.”

Good service, friendly staff and always clean, even when busy. But most of all it is the feeling of being treated the same as if I was a regular customer. I live in Eastern Oregon and don’t get to eat here as often as I would like.
