Rooms are not clean and service leaves much to be desired.
When we were checking in some furniture items were missing (no chairs)! We got used to the fact that cleanliness is not to be expected here but missing furniture!!!
In addition, we left behind a gift item (quite big so not easy to miss) and it has been very difficult to get any help from the lodge to get it back.
The only plus here is location - cannot be better and very convenient. Reason we keep coming back...read full review
Sun Mountain Lodge is fantastic. Great stopover location between North Cascades National Park and The Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. Room was comfortable, food delicious and my wife enjoyed a spa day while I went fly fishing. Booked half day fishing trip thru the lodge with Outdoor Adventures. My guide, Derek, was great. His knowledge of the river, the fish and his patience with my limited fly fishing skills made for a great day of fishing and an even better day of catching.
Peaceful location. Relaxing and pleasant, without being boring. Well kept beautiful grounds. Brunch was very good. Horse riding was memorable. We will definitely be back with friends and family.

The Dining Room at Sun Mountain Lodge offers a breathtaking mountain-top setting with beautiful views of the Methow Valley. The restaurant serves a small but appealing menu, including chicken and halibut dishes, with some dishes like seared halibut receiving mixed reviews. The halibut has been noted as fabulous, and the steak filet is also delicious. While the food is generally good, there are occasional issues, such as overly salty pasta or halibut with a tough texture, which can affect the dining experience. The service can sometimes be inconsistent, with staff working hard but possibly being understaffed, leading to longer wait times. However, many reviews highlight excellent service, with servers showing attentiveness and care. The elegantly presented portions may seem small, but the prices are considered fair, and the restaurant also offers original and reasonably priced cocktails. The view and attentive servers contribute to a lovely atmosphere, though the limited menu and occasional seating in the bar area rather than the main dining room may influence the overall ambiance. The Dining Room is a great stopover location between North Cascades National Park and The Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, making it a fantastic choice for visitors.
