Even though we were staying at Twisp to enjoy the valley view, we had such pleasant memories of Sun Mountain Lodge that we decided to stop for a late lunch. We waited forever in the bar and almost walked out before we were serviced. We ordered Curry Chicken Soup, and Winter Panzanella which was explained to us as salad with croutons. Great place to have a delicious lunch at Sun Mountain Lodge. The charcuterie board was amazing and so was the mac and cheese. Especially after being tired from hiking, the food was filling and we enjoyed every bite!!
Despite nasty smoke in the Methow Valley, we ended up there and to make the best of the day we went for dinner at Sun Mountain. Shortly after our drinks arrived a black bear wandered past on the hill below. This was a good start to a fabulous dinner. We decided to go with all small plates, and plenty of them.
