“Had a pizza 🍕 and a beverage while waiting on my dog to get groomed at the Poodle House. It was very good and the service from Shannon was top notch!“

“The food was excellent, and so was the service. The fries are so crisp and cooked just right. They even have a great Greek menu! I had the chicken/hummus pita, which was delicious and the pita was soft, warm, and fresh. My husband, who is picky about his hamburgers, loved the one they serve here.“

“OMG!!! It had been soooo long!!! Nick's (we always called it Nick's Tavern back in the day) was - for better or for worse - the focal point of my social/exterior life forty-something years ago before, during, and after all the things that surrounded the eruption of St. Helens. I had not been back in the bar since my wife (who I first met in Nick''s so many years ago) and I moved away in 1987.
I really need to give a 5-star shoutout to the Nick's staff for the May 18 Forest Service get-together. The work of the Nick's staff on Sunday, May 18. 2025, was Just Simply Amazing....
...now, on to the review...
While I can't speak to the bar food quality between 1987( when I left the Amboy area) and now, nothing seems to have changed between the 80's (aka...back in the Good Ol' Days) and now. The burgers are excellent; my Chili Dog was delicious; the French fries for all the meals were exceptional; the Chili was Superb. Given the size of the crowd that descended on Nick's on a Sunday morning, the waitstaff on hand was simply incredible.“

“Generally pretty good. I had the prairie burger. It was quite tasty but there was something they spread on top of the bun that made it a little messy to eat. I also thought the price was already a bit high $18, and it came with kettle chips which I am not a fan of, but to upgrade to fries was $3.50 which is ridiculous. My wife had the best me up salad and liked it, but again the price is a little high $16. The beers were also a bit high at $8, but we went at happy hour so they were $4 which is quite reasonable. The atmosphere tries to be rustic, but falls a bit short and looks a little down scale. Service was friendly but a bit slow
Overall I may go back, but there are better choices in the area.“

“I’m really happy to have Playmakers in Ridgefield but our visit was a bit of a mess. Food took a long time to come out (over a half hour) and then they brought the wrong appetizer. Didn’t bring out the correct one until we were done eating and ready to leave. Then they charged us for the original wrongly put in appetizer that was more expensive which they didn’t notice until after we had already paid. They offer to credit our card back the difference but at that point we were just ready to leave. Also the $18 steak bites I bought were about 5-6 little dried out pieces of chewy meat. I took a picture because it looked so weird. But I’d still recommend Playmakers because it’s a great place to watch a game and they have a pretty varied menu. The staff was polite and a kept the refills coming during our long wait for food. We’ve been before and it hasn’t been so chaotic so hopefully our visit was just a fluke.“

“Nice little bar, gave four stars as we had to wait a few minutes for the bartender to show back up at the bar as there was no one there. When the bartender did come back we still had to wait as they checked in with everyone else already with drinks before coming to take our drink order. Not a bad place at all has pool table and foosball table.“

“Shout out to Phil, Destiny, and B-Lake for being fantastic humans. They helped me out with something tonight at the restaurant that was above and beyond just food service. I cannot express my gratitude for these 3 and several other RR team members here. We left as much of a tip as we could but I would give them all $500 cash if I could to say thank you. I hope you all see this review and know how awesome you are!!!!!“

“I've loved FLH for as long as I've lived in North county. We've celebrated anniversaries, birthdays and special occasions here. I've always defended them online, when people complained about slow service, over-priced food, etc. But after one too many bad experiences, my loyalty was wavering... then last night happened. Top 5 WORST dining experience my husband and I have EVER had. After watching 3 tables who were seated after us place their orders and get drinks, we started to feel a little unhappy. When we finally got our appetizers and drink, those 3 tables were being served their dinner. Our appetizers: $14 for TWO fritters and $10 for 6 COLD mozzarella sticks. Dinner showed up an hour later, it was NOT what we ordered AND burned!! It took another half an hour to get a waitresses attention. In the end, we paid $30 for two tiny fritters, 6 cold mozzarella sticks, and one soda...waisted an hour and a half before going next door to the market and buying a delicious $11 FROZEN pizza to take home for dinner. They should have comped our appetizers after all that. We will NEVER go back! Not even if they paid me.“
