“Visiting from out of town and stopped in. Famous Destiny was an amazing waitress. She made us feel welcome and always checked in to see how we were doing. The food was delicious. My son said this is his favorite restaurant now and wants to visit every month. Thank you for making our experience so great.“

“Grew up in Yakima as a kid in the 50's. Our family were fans of your big delicious hamburgers for 25 cents each! Then the price went up in the 60's to 50 cents each. Well, I just had to stop for a hamburger with my siblings sometime in 1983, I think and the same favorite hamburgers were a $1.50 each. What a treat to see the building be the same place when we were kids! On the day we were there, you were just finishing a new paint job on the building. Thank you for the memories.“

“Stopped in for a quick lunch while traveling. I would recommend the fried okra and Mac & Cheese for sides. Both meats I tried were great and tried all 3 bbq sauces which all had great flavor. Service was extremely fast and the food was great.“

Miz Dee, Marcus and Jada weren’t even open for business, but were busy gearing up for re-opening soon. After chatting with these dear folks for a bit, Miz Dee said she was going to cook something up for us...seriously? Just like that? Yes, just like that! She busied herself in the kitchen and we were soon feasting on brisket, chicken, rib tips, hush puppies, collard greens, Mac n cheese and sweet potato pie. But wait, there’s more...hot out of the oven peach cobbler! Hot towels for cleaning up after, hugs all around and now we have family in Yakima. It’s a three hour drive from home, but something tells me we’ll be back!“
