Prices are too high for what you're getting. Food is good but, it varies on quality, portions and flavor. Service also varies depending on who you get. It's obvious there is no proper training or real menu knowledge from certain servers. Restaurant is clean but the restrooms can be suspect at times and there is only one. I understand today's restaurant industry but, just like other restaurants, they'd be fools to charge less because the public will pay. UGH!

I usually enjoy coming to Monarca — their food is normally very good. However, this time I was really disappointed. The birria had no flavor at all. My husband, who is a chef, said the meat had absolutely no taste. He even joked that the first time he ever tried to make birria, it wasn’t real birria — but it still had more flavor than what we were served today.
I mentioned it to the person who served us, but she basically said there was nothing she could do because “that’s how they make it.” It felt like we were just out of luck and they didn’t care to fix it. Very disappointing experience this time. The waitress we had to flag down because she never came to check on how are food was.

The food is lacking flavor. The salsa is watered down so bad that the flavor is almost gone as well. I feel like its definitely geared towards people that dont do spicy. If you're that kind of person, this is definitely the spot for you. The atmosphere is nice, the service was ok. We had to ask for some of the basics, but that just might be an off day kind of deal. Idk.

Currently scarfing down our outstanding food! I ordered 4 sopes with a side of beans and rice! The Flavor is incredible! They are so accommodating! My friend had to make some adjustments to her order and they did beyond amazing! Service is incredible, kind, and is very attentive to checking on how we are doing and making sure we are enjoying our food and it we need anything else!

My wife took me here tonight when I was kinda in a bad mood. The atmosphere and the margarita changed it immediately! I got my food to go, and it was amazing! Best chicken enchiladas I've had in a long time, or ever possibly. Thank you for helping change my mood.
