When I come to Yakima to float the river 2x a year, a stop at Los Hernandez is a must!! Their tamales are excellent and so tasty. When it is offered you must get the asparagus and cheese and also the jalapeño and cheese for a spicy bite, but the standby favorites of pork or chicken are always good! One of the main reasons for me to travel to Yakima is to go here and load up on their tamales to take home. My favorites are the chicken tamales and the seasonal asparagus tamales. They are well known throughout the U.S. for their food...They now have two locations - the original Union Gap location and the newer Yakima location... This time I went to the new location. Always great service. Fast and friendly. You can eat there or take home. I always just get the frozen tamales...read full review

One of the best tamales I’ve ever had in my life. So moist and tasty. Oh the salsa… You know the salsa is good when it makes you sweat! Don’t think twice before ordering it’s that good!
