“Excelente lugar para comer“

“Went with family as they have been here before and were raving about it. I ordered the Pollo a la Crema. It came sizzling to the table and was delicious! I had corn tortillas with it. Portion was large; I'm a big guy and can put away food, but I took home leftovers for lunch the next day. Not a huge restaurant but had a nice atmosphere. Server was awesome. Will definitely return next time I'm in town.

“We received outstanding and caring service for our Saturday lunch. I had two enchiladas (one chicken, one cheese) and while I would have liked a bit more spice in it, I know that's not the case for everyone so they are best to stick with mild. Especially since it was easily remedied with maybe the most perfect side salsa that I've ever had. Thoroughly enjoyable, along with great beans and rice.

I live 2 hours away but El Pastor has given me great incentive to make the trek out to them more often. Very reasonable prices to boot!“

“I love that upon sitting down you are immediately served with six different delicious salsas and tortilla chips. Great cost, plenty of options, will be back again and again. Pambazo with potatoes was fantastic.

“Looks like a fast food shop made into restaurant. The service was amazing. I got chips and salsa and beans to start with. I ate the carne asada and carnitas tacos (they are decent sized tacos). The green sauce they serve them with is amazing. The carnitas seemed a little dry but I also showed up right before closing so I think that’s more on me than them. I drank a cantarito and it was delicious and in a super cute photo worthy glass. Will DEFINITELY be back!

“I just went there and there was a man that was mentally ill that I tried giving money to. He couldn't hardly speak but I got the hint he wanted food. I gave them $5 for food for him. I know it wasn't enough to cover his meal but as I was watching from the rearview mirror I could see them passing him the food. Thank you so much for that! Everyone knows this place has good food that's why everyone goes there but it takes good people to do that for someone.“

“I thought it was going to be a sit down with a menu nope it was like a fast food restaurant So I ordered the Birriamen soup and it came with 2 quesabirria Did not disappoint when they called our number I about fell over the amount what I was about to eat the service was GREAT ,THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS The left overs I took home well let’s just say dinner and breakfast might just happen If you haven’t been GO GET THERE However the take home bowls a little iffy but I’m coming back for sure“

“The wife and I were going to Seattle from Kennewick and found JJ's on my maps. So, on our way, we just had to stop. Birria quesatacos are my favorite. JJ's is great. Establishment is easy access, clean, smells wonderful as you enter.Tacos delicious. The salsa is fire! If I see a truck or restaurant, I'll flag it. Matter of fact we had birria and street tacos yesterday. Casa Rositas in Kennewick. Give them a try, too.“

“My first visit was an incredible trip from Oregon through this region. I loved finding a lunch box with such delicious tacos and quesabirria. It is totally recommended. It is a good place to eat and remember our taste of Mexico with a variety of sodas and fresh water. place to enjoy outdoors or takeaway

“We walked in and almost had the place to ourselves there were two playing pool and us. Admittedly it was after regular dinner hours. The food was great. The server gave a recommendation that hit the spot! We didn't know whether to feel safer or worry about our safety when the security guard showed up but overall we had a great time with great food.“

We stopped in on our way through Yakima and had the horchata flight, a strawberry margarita, and the calamari (steak) appetizer and it was all perfect. “Have never had a bad meal here. The servings are large even at lunch time. The service is great and the people are warm and friendly. The prices are the same as every other restaurant in the area. We drive over the mountain passes for a day drive so we can eat at El Porton's, takes us 2 1/2 hours. We make at least three trips a year and would be more if it wasn't for the winter weather. Can't wait for the next trip for lunch.

“I can't really comment on the atmosphere, we always use the drive though. The gal at the window is nice and the food is amazing. My daughters always have the same order. Birria Tacos, and the 6 soft taco plate with spicy pork. It's slow for a drive through, but worth the wait if you have time.“

“Ordered the caldo de Pollo and Tacos de lengua. Both were fantastic. Caldo was perfect. Not greasy, great tasting brith and a perfect amount of rice and tortillas to round it out. Tacos are some of the best in West Valley. Don't be fooled by the locale or the lack of decor- some.of the best Mexican food is inside this place. Don't sleep on Tacos El Rey!!!!“

She ate most of it, because it was great, but ooowwww the burn.... just a word of caution if your not use to great spicy food, this place kicks it up...?

Vegetarian options: Only one vegetarian option that we found, a veggie burrito, but it was pretty big and tasted amazing. Free chips and salsa when you get there, careful the salsa has a bite, but is also full of flavor and obviously fresh.“
