I have been wanting to go here forever as I am a huge lover of grits. I've tried grits in many restaurant across the country and I have to say that the grits here are some of the best that I've ever had. I got the berry lemonade and shrimp and grits with a biscuit and poached eggs while my boyfriend got the breakfast sammie. Gritz N Gravy is a restaurant that has quickly become a favorite for many. The grits are described as some of the best, seasoned to perfection. The shrimp and grits, breakfast sammie, “The Herbivore” omelet, smoked salmon omelet, chorizo hash, chicken fried steak, and a Bloody Mary are all mentioned as delicious. The food is flavorful, fresh, and not greasy, and it comes out quickly. The house made biscuits, sourdough, jam, and fresh pastries are also delightful. The cinnamon roll is made in house and very delicious. The employees are friendly, professional, and attentive, checking in periodically and refilling waters. The interior is gorgeous, artistic, and quaint, with an ambient vibe, and the restroom is equally beautiful. The restaurant is a special gem in an unexpected place, a treasure trove in Yelm. Many look forward to coming back to try other dishes and grab fresh pastries and sourdough bread.
