“WONDERFUL in every way! Such a gem. We were on our way out of town and needed a good base for the 8 hours home. We went here based on the reviews and menu. Nothing about this place disappointed. Angela was our server. Super friendly, efficient, and hospitable. She took the extra time to talk football and people, with my husband, even though the restaurant was packed. (We let the fact that she's a Cowboys fan slide. Ha!) Great coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Biscuits and gravy were so phenomenal, we ordered a second half order after our 6 year old devoured the 1st and his pancakes. Both were exceptional- fluffy and flavorful. I had the house skillet and a side of sausage patties, as is a go-to wherever I go. My husband had a traditional breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage links, and (crispy) hashbrowns. Everything was perfectly prepared. I wish I had ordered the sausage links though! The casing on them was everything! OMG. Links are usually not my style, but they get these locally, and I understand why. I'm still kicking myself! The sourdough toast and homemade strawberry jelly were the perfect end to our BIG breakfast. Lastly, we appreciated the owner coming over and checking on us. Thank you for such an amazing meal. If we pass through again, there's no doubt we will stop. **For a review that I read about it being overpriced, I totally disagree. I'd have to say that the prices are no more than what we experience anywhere else- even in our small town, where we don't get all the extras, like homemade jelly, fresh meat, freshly squeezed orange juice, and a coffee carafe at our table. As you see, we ordered a lot of food. I don't tend to keep a mental tally when food is this good. Our meal was extremely reasonably priced. Thank you for the great experience and Go Chicago Bears!“

“Been here before, but it's been a very long time. We were passing through the area and looking for a place to eat. It happened to be a very busy weekend, and the Informalist was one of the few places that did not have a long line to get seated. Got in right away and seated for some brunch.
The restaurant is spacious and well designed. It's a bit upscale, but perfectly capable of making people feel relaxed and welcome. We got greeted right away by the server and settled in with menus and waters.
Our order wasn't complicated: some of the Custard Battered French Toast, a short stack of pancakes, and two eggs. I also ordered a London Fog Tea Latte (a little lavender, a little vanilla, and extra foam). It didn't take long for the food to come, but the London Fog took a while longer.
The French Toast was amazingly good, and the pancakes and eggs were also very good. I was half done with my meal by the time my London Fog arrived, and the server was very apologetic (saying that the coffee shop was very busy). I might have been satisfied with that, but the London Fog was just okay. While there was some extra foam, the drink itself was flat, as if they just heated up the milk and mixed it with the tea. (They need to do a better job with polishing the steamed milk so that it creates a creamy texture, especially if they ar charging $8)
Overall, a good experience, and a few tweaks would have made it excellent. Would stop again if I was in the mood for the French Toast.“

“The food was just amazing and the Server was very respectful. I had a great experience here. I had a smash burger and the taste was over all an amazing blend. I also had a sundae and nice combination at that, Carmel chocolate and whipped topping. The server Zach was a well mannered guy. Will be coming again. ❤️“

“Our waitress was fantastic & recommended the spicy ranch with the pickle cheese curds which was so good & the Philly calzone was delish & no joke was GIANT! My husband & I could've definitely split one, but we both had half a calzone left for lunch the next day. Great experience & we will definitely be back for another huge calzone!“

“I'm from Milwaukee and have high standards for food. these last few years have been a challenge in finding good restaurants. EC, check this place out! I've never been disappointed. from packer games to take out, everything I've had has been delicious. You are a go to for me! Try the Cuban or the Nashville hot, which the bartender recommended today. IMO, fantastic and reasonable prices. Please give my respect to the bartender. He is amazing!“

“Great food, friendly staff. Small issue with my order, but they immediately made it up to me without me even saying anything.
I got the chicken tacos, which were fantastic. Ordered carryout, so the food in the attached photo probably comes out even better when you get it at the restaurant.
Would definitely eat here again if I'm ever back in Eau Claire.“
