WOW. I've been hunting for a great bakery around Eau Claire and was blown away by The Nostalgic Bean today! The cinnamon braid might be one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life: crusty but soft, sweet but not excessive. I doubt I'll ever eat another ham & bechamel croissant without comparing it to this one. Partner said the crust on the black bean, corn and jalapeno quiche was perfect. I thought I was going overboard when I brought home a white chocolate...
This place is one of my absolute favorite stops in the Chippewa Valley! We love the pastries and drinks almost as much as we love the inclusive and welcoming atmosphere! This is a local treasure!

But for good reason! The food is absolutely delicious, you can tell there’s some real talent there in the pastries and the coffee was pretty tasty too!
