Dietary restrictions: I just love the pork hocks and sauerkraut on Tuesdays. This is homemade food that you can't get anywhere else. But you can't beat the homemade pies and kolaches and cakes. I'll miss them.
Cool history, nice server. Food was absolutely middle of the road. So basic I forgot what the hell I even bought as a main breakfast plate. Asked for two eggs on the side scrambled, and it came out as literally a blob of two scrambled eggs splattered on a plate and slid down in front of me. Not bad, not good, just food. I was smiling while I was there, though, so I had a pleasant time. Just don't get yourself excited to go here, your expectations will instantly be too high.
We dropped in to Dixie Lunch on a whim, while on a leaf gazing crawl through Northern Wisconsin. Our sweet, grandmotherly waitress suggested we try Wednesday's special: Broasted Chicken. What a lucky break! It was the best chicken dinner my husband and can remember. Wish we lived closer, we'd be here every Wednesday!
