Kind of disappointed with my last experience.. ALWAYS LOVED attending nakashema for any family event, in this case my birthday last Wednesday 3/27.My boyfriend and I Sat down fairly quickly at our table along with another family and there 5 kids. The show was fun and drinks were awesome along with the food. However, we had ordered 2 sides of the fried rice with our meals as it is our favorite part and we wanted to make sure we had enough!Well for some reason the chef decided to start serving the meals on the kids side, and end on my side (witch is no big deal to me what order they serve in) BUT PLEASE TELL ME WHY WE WERE SERVED LESS PORTIONS OF EVERYTHING THEN THE KIDS WHO HAD ORDERED KIDS MEALS.4 pieces of chicken and steak and the dad and mom decided to shared there fried rice with there kids so we were left with not even a half of a spatula full of rice when they got to us. On top of that maybe 5 bites of veggies each. I was pretty upset but it was my birthday so I decided not to say anything to ensure I had a good night. However, at the end of the meal, the couple and there 5 kids couldn’t help but announce they’re bill out loud witch was 230$ exact not to mention the dad had multiple shots and the mom 2 glasses of wine, they were so happy with the price of the meal and the amount of food everyone was served, and on the other side of the table was my boyfriend and I. Stuck with a 160$ bill for 2 People and 2 bevrages.Not satisfied.

I love this place! We ordered sushi. Our server was very attentive but still gave us privacy, and even let us move when a better table became available. I love the atmosphere of this place, and it's always a highlight when I get to come here. We really enjoyed the spicy shrimp tempura roll, the dragon roll, the tiger roll, and the green turtle roll. Can't wait to come back!

Our chef and our food was absolutely fantastic, only reason not 5 stars is our waitress took forever to get our drinks, she seemed very preoccupied and then never brought our change back and just assumed it was a tip.
This was one of the worst Hibachi restaurants we’ve ever been too. To start off they don’t serve the noodles, don’t have the yum yum sauce, and let’s just say the cook didn’t season the food at all. The sushi was ok but nothing I’ll come back to. The shrimp tempura appetizer was cooked very soft and looked as if it was half done. Also the cook’s performance was not entertaining at all. Being from Chicago the Hibachi Restaurants set the bar so high there that you know what to expect. The only thing I like was the strawberry lemonade. Overall I will not be going back, don’t recommend this place, and if it’s your first time having Hibachi please go elsewhere to get the real experience.

I've been coming to nakashima's for 25+years. And never have I been served fried rice in a clump. By clump I mean 5 servings on the fryer, flipped once and soy or teriyaki put on and flipped again and separated into 5 servings and served....i could have made that at home. And got the same poor reviews. Most people go out to eat because they like the flavor of food there being served the servings were not what a person would think . Minion serving was very small. Hardly got any lobster.. for the $130 is spent.. I gotta say it was not worth it. I get it costs goes up , but customers satisfaction should also. I don't think I'll ever come back

I've been going since I was a young boy. I'm biased, its my favorite sushi and hibachi restaurant. I regularly get sushi to go, and eat hibachi as a celebration meal through each year. They are polite, professional, and delicious. I encourage everyone to try them once.Kid-friendliness: They are great with kids and a nice yearly birthday meal, as a treat.
