Do not recommend. We were there on Friday and did the fish specials and they were all terrible. The fish was way over cooked. They said it was lightly breaded but it was more bread than fish. It had a weird taste to it. It was dry. The cheese curds were also super salty. Do not heat here. We told our server and she said the chef didn’t listen to her.

Super overpriced for the food you're receiving. Would rather burn up some gas and eat elsewhere.

During the pandemic, hotels cut back on services like room cleaning and breakfast. But now that’s no longer an excuse for poor or nonexistent service. This hotel posts a notice that “complimentary housekeeping” will be provided every fifth day. Are they preparing us for a future when they charge a fee for housekeeping? And five days is ridiculous. When you pay about $200 per day for a room, you expect fresh towels more frequently than once a week. The very basic breakfast buffet is $14.95. There is a coffee kiosk in the lobby, but they even charge for that. Overall, the hotel appears well-maintained and the staff were especially cordial. But I will not rate a hotel favorably when management makes dumb decisions to nickel-and-dime guests with fees and inconvenience.

Nice and quiet, drove from Florida all the way to Appleton, was able to get some much needed rest from the long drive all the way up, rather centralized to the fox valley mall and most stores in town and minutes away from really good places to eat

At the end of the day, the room was clean, the linens were fresh, the parking was free, and the air conditioning worked. There was some sort of swim competition on (that we were not part of) which swamped the staff who seemed not to know how to deal with noisy, stressful situations with guests running through the lobby at breakneck speeds while they are training new staff. The front door was broken (these things happen) but some signage or attention to what havoc it caused would have made it less obvious. Maybe management should consider ways to move large groups from the lobby areas by deploying barriers of some sort or encouraging guests to gather elsewhere and provide more guidance when trainees are behind the counter. A long line to check in, then at the check in, there was no welcome or information, just - "here is the key"; I would swear that the clerk did not even look at me. I had several questions and ended up not asking them. I would not give a second chance because the location is at the edge of town; I thought it was closer to the center. But, maybe you will.

The staff is incredibly friendly & accommodating! We were able to gather in the courtyard and we were able to use the grill and yard games as gathered as a large group of players & families! The kids immensely enjoyed the pool as well!

This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at any hotel. When we checked in, they checked us into the wrong room under the wrong reservation. We tried to tell them it wasn’t the correct reservation because they had the incorrect number of rooms on the reservation and the incorrect credit card number. Instead of looking into it, they just changed the credit card number and gave us our keys. The next morning the front desk gave a copy of our room key to 3 random people who then proceeded to come into our room at 6:30 am when we were still sleeping. After being woken up by strangers we decided to get some breakfast, which we then learned was $16 a person, and it was NOT a $16 meal. The whole reason we stayed at this overpriced hotel was for the shuttle to the wedding we were attending. However when we got to the shuttle we found out that it was full and they would not be making any more trips so we ended up having to drive ourselves. The bride was unaware that the 3 shuttles combined, would only hold 24 of the 175 people that attending the wedding. I feel like we, the bride, all the guests and myself; were scammed and lied to this whole weekend. This was proven as I went to write this review because the next weeks rate are shown as half the price of what we paid. Many other guests shared similar stories with me. We were not able to talk to a manager when these problems arose because the only manager on shift that weekend was working the night shift and didn’t get in until 11pm. I will not be staying at a double tree again and will advise all others to do the same.

For a wedding, one issue after another. Blonde front desk lady gave us someone else's room (same last name) and didn't seem to care or solve the issue. The people who had same last name got keys to our room and came in while we slept. Parents and grandparents of the bride were given 1 room instead of the 2 they booked in advance. Bride was not told about the bridal sweet that she booked until second day of our stay. The shuttles to and from the wedding only gave us 3 runs and sat only 8 people. Many guests were stranded at hotel trying to find rides to the wedding. The drain in the shower was clogged and when we requested shampoo was told to come down to front desk, when at front desk was told they didn't have any shampoo.

The room and the restaurant were perfect. The best customer service at the desk was Quinn. By far, she was the most helpful. A great experience overall, would absolutely Recommend. If I travel for business again, I will choose this hotel.

Great hotel, great staff! I had a very pleasurable experience. Helpful, friendly staff. A nice restaurant and bar was great late night. The pool and whirlpool were a welcome treat. Shuttle bus was convenient and easy to use.

This is my go-to hotel in Appleton when I'm visiting family. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The restaurant is very nice. Location is great. However, it is the people who make it so special. Emily at the front desk, and shuttle drivers Tammy, Theresa and Ted have all welcomed me, remembered me and helped me get to where I need to be. The little extras like cookies and water make it that much sweeter.

The hotel was everything I expected. Perfect location to the airport for Allegiant flight in and out from Phoenix. Shuttle service, via driver PETER was outstanding. Restaurant for breakfast and lunch was perfect.

Great room, great services and a lot to do in the area. Front desk staff were friendly and got us in to the room before we were to check in. Pool area is nice and there were not a ton of people in there. Bring quarters for the kiddos as there are small arcade games too.
