We're trying to find good Chinese food in the Dane county area. Unfortunately, this isn't a good find. The woman that greeted and waited on us was exceptional. She was the only person working on the Friday lunchtime. We were informed there was no longer a buffet, only menu order available.
We ordered crab Rangoon, Sesame chicken and pork egg foo Yung. Portions were generous and reasonably priced. Our food was ready very quickly, so again, great service.
Sadly, the food itself was rather mediocre. The Rangoon was hot but not very crispy and flavorless. Sesame chicken was not bad, and the pork efy was not very good at all.
There was an overall flavor of old to somewhat rancid cooking oil to every dish. It was very disappointing. We only ate about half of the food, took the rest in a to go box, but discarded it later. 😕
Our waitress was so sweet and offered us refills. Most places don't even bother with refills anymore. Our food was hot and fresh and the kids plates came out right away. Thanks for great service and kind smiles.
Very friendly service for a take out lunch. The food was better than expected. Veggie rice, crab Rangoon, and egg rolls. The crab rangoons were my favorite. The egg rolls had a nice crisp to them. I was expecting the rice to have a little more flavor but I still finished it very quickly.
Delicious, hot, fresh food. Great friendly service. I recommend it!!
Really like there food. Not alot of options out this way but this restaurant anywhere would be good. The lady working there is so nice and happy. Good portions, very good food
Awesome food made to order and great service was a little sad the buffet wasn't open today but the food off the menu was worth the stop
The owner is amazing. She knows what we like so well. And she is always grateful we stop in.
Stopped in about mid afternoon on a Friday. Buffet wasn't up, so we ordered off the menu. The four of us each got something different, and all four of us were very impressed by the food. My General Tso's chicken and white rice was literally the best I've ever had. Perfect level of spice, chicken cooked to crispy perfection.
Service was fantastic! Very polite and attentive.
10/10, will go again next time I'm in town!
Very friendly host and fast service. They have a regular menu when the buffet is closed. The food was hood and the prices were reasonable.

there is no buffet and looks pretty old and worn
Good food and friendly owner. Not a clean or inviting restaurant inside. I would recommend carryout.

We thought we’d try this restaurant after reading the great reviews and were very disappointed. First of all we went in at lunch time, and found that there was no buffet as advertised. It appears as though there may not have been one for awhile. We found the restaurant to be dirty and somewhat cluttered with boxes. There was like a brown scum on the windows. It was kinda disturbing to see in a restaurant.
The waitress was very kind and accommodating and did her very best to give us good service. Our food came out very quickly and hot. The crab ragoons were good, the portions were decent. The meat however didn’t taste right, somewhat sour, so we didn’t eat it. The egg rolls were just meh.
Not a place that we would revisit.
