Paoli Schoolhouse American Bistro

I can't believe we've never dinned here before!! Sea bass was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent.

We sat outside in the shade for lunch and it was lovely and quiet. We had the chicken panini special and it was very good and reasonably prized.

Absolutely amazing! Everything from the moment you walked in to the wait staff, the live music, the food was incredible. I ordered the seabass and it was one of the best dishes I've ever had. The staff were wonderful and kind. I can't wait to go back!

Excellent menu choices. Our food was very well prepared. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The noise level can get high during peak times, but ask the staff for a quiet corner should you require one.

Was a great first experience rating here. We had brunch and the food and service were GREAT. We were sat in the side room which was a little cold and gray. Other than that, GREAT EXPERIENCE. We will be going back for dinner.

This GEM was a GREAT FIND for Dinner. Our group of 5 had a wonderful first time experience. The interior is done beautifully and fresh when enter and the way they creatively nestled in the bar is the main dining room was perfect. The Drink menu will surely satisfy every one from the old time stands to fresh seasonal cocktails and then a wine list for every type of wine drinker. The dinners were out of this world; the presentation, quality local fresh ingredients and delicious flavor made for a perfect evening in Paoli. The friendly staff were attentive tour needs but not too much . We will be back for sure.

We were so disappointed. Numerous people told us this place is amazing. We finally made a reservation. Parking was difficult. Our server was off putting, shaming me for looking at my phone a minute after we got in our high top seats (yuck) in a small, loud room (double yuck) despite our reservation for a standard table, ideally outdoors. After the server belittled me, we had no service for over 15 minutes. When he returned he wanted to take our order for drinks and dinner. No thank you. I said we would order our drinks, and when they arrived we would order our dinner. A runner brought our drinks. Our server passed by and spent a good amount of time with two other tables near us, but didn't take our order for another 15 minutes (30 minutes after our reservation). My husband ordered the walleye and the server said it was out “because we were so late”. With a 7:15 reservation on Friday night. So, we ordered and we ate. The food was delicious. Our server didn't stop by for a long time again. When our drinks were long gone and we had finished eating, he came by to offer dessert. We asked if free dessert was offered when you make a reservation for your anniversary, which it was. He said no. He finally brought the check. He asked how we liked our night and we said I said not much. He said he hoped he didn't have anything to do with it. I said he had everything to do with it. Bad night. Maybe we will try it again someday.

The food was exceptional, our waiter was great, and the surroundings were handsome. We'll be delighted to return on other occasions.

We visited this past week and sat outside.. All was well, food and wine very very good, outdoor seating very comfortable, music great but the approach of the GM who was our waiter put us off. It seemed as if we were taking up his time with our decision of what to drink, if not eat, and his explanations of each felt very condescending. He may run a good shop but it might be that he shouldn't be given table service as a responsibility! All other staff were terrific by the way and the place is very attractive and welcoming.

This was my second time visiting Paoli Schoolhouse and it was wonderful once again. Great food, attentive and knowledgeable servers, and simply a cool locale.

Again, Paoli Schoolhouse did not disappoint. It is refreshing to walk into a restaurant and recognize both the host and main server. This tells me they are a good employer who retains their staff. We sat in the main dining room at a high table. My friend and I split the baked brie which was delicious. She had the scallops and I - being a creature of habit, had the burger. The food was divine and the service impeccable. They had small music group set up half-way through our service which was a fun surprise. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a lovely brunch/lunch before an Overture Center matinee! The food and drinks were very delicious ! Staff was the Great!! Highly recommend!!! We'll be back!

This is a great restaurant tucked away in Paoli. We've been there once before and will definitely return. Each guest had a different meal, the Seabass was prepared perfectly and cauliflower mash tasty, the chicken was juicy and flavorfull and the Beef Wellington is something you do not see on a menu often so try it, excellent! Service was attentive and well timed.

This is a cute place in an old school house. Food and drinks are excellent. Staff very friendly. Ambience is really nice. Quiet live music in background. Will be back for sure

What a delight! First class all the way, from the greeting at the door through leaving. Service was great. My friend had the Roquefort Salad and I had the Beef Wellington. Bough of us left so happy! I highly recommend!
