My husband and I visited this restaurant during our trip to Milwaukee while traveling from Southern California. We stopped by on a Thursday night, and there was over an hour wait. We noticed that guests with reservations were being seated, so reservations are definitely recommended. We decided to sit in the bar area, which still gave us access to the full menu. We got there around 7 without reservations and it was going to be quite a wait for a table. The hostess recommended bar seating for faster seating which worked out great for us.
Atmosphere was pretty loud but not so loud as to prevent conversation. A loud buzz of background voices but comfortable. Lighting was dimmer than I prefer but not dark at all. Decor was warm and welcoming if not distinct enough to be remarkable or memorable. It was cozy in the bar.

Great, fast service and excellent food at reasonable price for the quality. The menu is unusually organized by price rather than appetizers, salads, entrees, etc. but it wasn’t really a problem and the server was able to quickly explain it and answer any questions we had. They were very helpful in helping me find a dish that avoided ingredients that I have a sensitivity/allergy. Dessert recommendation of bread pudding with ice cream was a real winner.
