Lake Ripley Family Restaurant has a fairly standard ”family restaurant" menu - that is, until you see the specials! From unbelievably delicious soups to, yes, blue gill fish on their Friday fish-fry menu, there are true jewels to be had here. Didn't have a meal here just a pepsi but I was in dire straits with a dead phone and no way to get back to Jefferson! Nice lady behind the counter charged my phone for me, tried to get an uber and none were in the area so I was stranded. Was debating taking a 100+ dollar taxi or walking 4 hrs lol. Figured I might as well ask if anyone in the restaurant could give me a ride. (I think) the owners very kind son offered and I made it safely back to Jefferson! Always great to visit for breakfast/brunch, hash browns are second to none. Occasionally the service is a little slow and I've waited a while for food/service, but considering the place is always bustling, hard to fault that. I always recommend to anyone passing through
