“Stopped in while on a fall color drive and were pleasantly surprised. My wife said it was the best cheese sandwich she's had and my hot ham and cheese had very good ham and cheese, not always the case in smaller places. Could not beat it in Chicago, and we paid way less. A comfortable local place that I will bet has a good local following.“

“What a great experience. First time to visit Alabama. Athens was a convenient place to stop on the way to Florida. I looked for a local sports bar to watch Monday Night Football and the Yankees game… in Alabama. We couldn’t have felt more welcomed. The food was great bar food. The locals also love it. Mark the bartender is the most efficient restaurant employee I have ever experienced. Polite, attentive and does the job of 3or 4 employees. I recommend the pork chop sandwich with fried okra. Delicious.“
