Now early I went to have breakfast, they have a Buffet and a la carte and what can I say, the food was delicious, the service was excellent and the prices were very competitive, the owner and her husband were very attentive and friendly, 100% recommended for everyone to visit.

Amazing gem of a place. I had the butcher's breakfast, and everything was spectacular. Ribeye was seasoned perfectly, and the German hashbrowns were amazing with onions and green peppers. They give you cheese sauce that goes a long way and homemade recipe that you can purchase to take home. It goes on almost anything. The service was top-notch and attentive. The atmosphere was also very welcoming. I wish I had come here a long time ago and the prices are very affordable.

Good food, but absolutely abysmal service (bottom 1% of my lived restaurant experiences)... It literally took an hour and 20 minutes to get our food after a long wait to order (4 people, regular on-menu orders, and not during peak time), then we couldn't pay due to credit card/register issues - another 20+ minutes. And it wasn't "busy", as they tried to excuse (several open tables, immediate seating, honesty less busy when we arrived than any other normal weekend day). The server and staff were all very friendly, but not a word from the manager or any attempt to make it right for us or other customers due to unprecedented delay. We're not likely to go back, and I'm very unimpressed by the management in how they handled this situation; at the very least, I'd expect management acknowledgment of the issue. Bottom line = management failure - I hate to say it, but they don't deserve any more of our business, and I'm saddened to say you shouldn't give them yours either.

Love this place. It has all the ambience you would expect from a diner from years gone by. A little piece of small town Americana. I ordered the Black Forest Omelette. Everything was prepared impeccably. The omelet, the hash browns, and the rye toast with butter, were amazing. I haven’t had a restaurant breakfast this good in many years. My wife ordered the Strammer Max. What one might think is a strange combination of flavors was delicious. Rye toast topped with grilled summer sausage, 3 eggs and pickles, with some spicy brown mustard added, was a surprisingly tasty combo. Definitely try it. Could not say enough good things about the service. Christine was so friendly and attentive. You definitely must visit this cafe.

I've been here several times and is consistently good. The best breakfast around for sure. My favorite is the biscuits and gravy. They have many German selections which are also good. The German coffee os amazing.
