“My husband and I are foodies stuck in the Midwest. We go to all the bars and have all the same Sysco food with a different name slapped on it. We've had all the bottled Bloody Mixes. All the pizzas with sauce out of a can. Thank goodness for Good Time Charlie's!!! They don't need a hype team like the new place (Vault *cough*) in town with mediocre food at big city prices. A place where you can't leave an honest review about how over hyped and disappointing it is. Here at Good Time Charlie's you can tell food their passion. Taking your basic Bloody Mary, Pizza, Burger, Chicken Sandwich, and even French fries (try the garlic fries!!) to the next level of flavor. Yes, flavor in Wisconsin! My husband and I still explore other places hoping to find another gem, not wanting to get stuck in a rut, but we always question afterwards why we didn't just stick with what's proven to be delicious. Whether you want to eat, drink, or just hang out, you won't be disappointed. Unless you want high prices and food made without passion, then I can suggest many other options.”

“I was in town for WI Farm Tech Days. This was my favorite place to go have a beer after work. I loved the local home town feel. Ice Cold beer, great atmosphere. Everyone in this place treated me like I grew up there and they knew my Dad.”

“Oxbow is the kind of place that reminds you why small-town bars are so much fun. If you looked up “Oxbow” in the dictionary, this place would somehow be the definition. It’s got personality everywhere you look, and that’s exactly what makes it great. The bartender was an awesome guy—friendly, welcoming, and always ready with a laugh or a good conversation.

The place was still fully decorated for Christmas in July, and honestly, I respect the commitment. At this point they should just leave it up all year and save themselves the work. It somehow fits the vibe perfectly. The beer was ice cold, the atmosphere was relaxed, and everyone seemed to know each other, or at least act like they did after a couple of drinks.

If you’re looking for a fancy cocktail lounge, keep driving. If you’re looking for a bar with character, good people, cold drinks, and enough stories in the walls to keep you entertained, Oxbow is absolutely worth the stop. I’ll definitely be back!”

“I stopped by today to get something for dinner. I went classic with the broccoli chicken. Portion sizes are enough for two people easily. Lots of veggies and meat. Fast service, great food: it's made to order and so, so good. Clintonville is lucky to have this place! FYI, there is no seating inside; it's just for to go orders. I've honestly never had anything bad here. It's all delicious! Cashew chicken is also good. Shrimp is yummy. My egg roll today was the best one yet. Prices are also SUPER reasonable!!!”

“I had a blt pannini and a small Greek salad with a diet coke. It was made fresh and it was sooo good. This is going to be my new favorite place to hang out at.”

“Bumps is actually a fun place to go to. Did have one bad experience when it took forever getting drinks cause the bartender was not the greatest but other than that time I enjoyed myself and would go back for sure.”

“We went for the fish fry. My husband had the blue gill and I had the perch. It was late afternoon so it wasn't super busy yet. We sat on the deck overlooking the lake. The bartender/waitress was friendly and promptly took our order through the window into the bar area. There wasn't much for service since we were the only ones out on the deck but it was fine. We had what we needed. The food was delicious and they give you A LOT of food! Enjoyed the leftovers the following day.”

“First trip with grandpa, GiGi, and Norah. Food was amazing as always. Staff was great. Dining room and restrooms were clean. Only complaint is came in for curd burger which was suppose to last all month but was sold out. That’s two years now that they sell out. All Culvers not just Clintonville. It’s Wisconsin for petes sake. They need to at least need to triple order. Maybe we can catch it next year. 😢”

“Had a fantastic dinner at The Vault last night with another couple. The staff went above and beyond — genuinely friendly and personable without feeling scripted. The food was excellent and we’re already planning our next visit. Highly recommend!”
