Disregard Chapman's review. Bauer’s Dam is a great Northwoods establishment. The family has been involved in the community since the 40s and is well respected by all. Good people, and great homemade food. The chicken pot pie is chef’s kiss. If you're expecting a corporate-chain restaurant, this is not the place - and that's what's so great about it.
One of my most favorite intimate places to stop for some great food and a relaxing break from the trails (both UTV and sled).
We will never miss an opportunity to swing by for a bowl of soup or the chicken pot pie.

chicken pot pie, delicious. bloody Mary with a Hamm's chaser, excellent. Chicken salad with candied pecans and cranberries sandwich, awesome. Kevin was welcoming and friendly. give Bauer's Dam Bar a visit when you're in the Conover WI area.
