“This was the perfect perch fish fry of my dreams! So good! Homemade food. Everything was made with a Chef's kiss perfection! The bread! A great traditional marble rye! The breading was light and crisp it didn't overpower the fish. The perch had that fresh lake taste to it. The German potatoes were like my Grandma used to make. Holly was a wonderful sweet server. Thank you so much! Y'all! we don't get great food like this in Texas.”

“We were heading home from vacation and decided to grab a quick breakfast before the long drive. We peeked inside, and everything seemed alright—clean and tidy. But the worker had a shirt that looked like it hadn’t seen the wash since she started, and she was wearing Crocs! I was shocked; I couldn’t believe it. Is this the usual for McDonald’s? Did they start letting their workers wear Crocs to work?”

“SIMPLY THE BEST THERE IS!!! So let me begin by saying that I consider myself a Kringle authority. Having consumed them from every manufacturer of them in the State of Wisconsin since the 1970's. I've tried every maker of them out of Racine. I noted coming across Mike's Bake Shoppe on the internet and found it hard to believe they would potentially be the best or even different from others in Wisconsin. Well let me begin by saying that after receiving my first Kringle order of a Cherry and a Blueberry Cream Cheese Kringle my assessment is as follows. * Texture. Simply in another league. O&H and Larson's can't even come close. It's denser and more flavorful. Most importantly as well is that Mike's uses BUTTER not the sick and annoying margarine which is a molecule away from being plastic. Sad that this day and age ANY credible baker would use such poison. So the flavor and texture is another league * Filling. The cherrys were from Seacrest Farms in Door County famous for their cherries. And indeed you get entire cherries, not the tiny chopped up bits and pieces you'd get from O&H and others. The flavor is simply outstanding and the real deal, not chemically made up like the others and there's a LOT of it no skimping here. * Frosting. Mike's frosting is most obviously handmade NOT out of some container like the others. It adds that sweet character which is not overwhelming. A perfect mix and once again genuine not fake like the others. * Helping or Physical Size. It was immediately obvious that the physical helping or size of the Kringle was perhaps at least 30% larger then all other competition. So the value for it's price is undeniably superior. In the end Mike's deserves the term as the FINEST Kringle available anywhere. I don't see anyone coming close let alone using the best ingredients without seed oils and crappy margarine and such. From now on it's MIke's or nothing for me.”

“It was our first time here and it was 10/10! WOW! I LOVE pizza and honestly, this rates in my top 3 favorite pizza places. From the variety of crust options to the mound of toppings they pile on the pizza, I was so impressed! Our server, Renata, what a gem. As someone who's worked in the service industry since 17, it's rare to see someone who really enjoys their job and is kind and compassionate. Renata is the true definition of what one should strive to be when working in the service industry. Kudos to her! Protect this woman at all costs. She was such a joy. I would have invited her to join our table and share some pizza. She made me feel like family. Keep smiling, Renata. You are a GEM! We can't wait to come back. ❤️🍕”

Ps…if they ran out of bread one day, so they had to stop taking orders over the phone for the two-for-one special, it’s not “false advertising.” It’s responsible order-taking so they could fill the orders they had already taken. Pretty sad when someone writes a review calling a business “greedy” because they were so busy they ran out of product.
