Wife and I are up this Labor day weekend for a local race and she booked us a campsite close by. She found this place and I sure am glad she did! We got there around 5 on a Friday. Place was packed. We put our names in and went to the bar. Had great conversations with almost everyone around us. The 1 ding on service was for the insane amount of time it took to get drinks. But being Labor day weekend, and having 1 bartender making countless old fashions, thats kind of understandable....
I've been into honey bear quite a few times since moving here pre covid, and I've had such a pleasure meeting the bartender Lizzie and having great fun conversations. When I first came in, it was always packed and cramped and you almost felt rushed so the next person could get in to enjoy as well.
