During our drive to North Dakota, after seeing some amazing reviews online we decided to stop at Jay Ray’s for some sandwiches.
We were absolutely delighted with the food, as well as the service. We had the pleasure of meeting Brian and Ritchie, and it was very clear that they care greatly for both their food and customers. Friendly conversations, extremely fresh ingredients, and some of the best deli sandwiches (and cookies) we’ve had!
We went with Brian’s recommendations of the Italian Beef, The DeNiro and The Karen. The beef was just as good as something you’d get in Chicago (which makes sense since that’s where Brian and his brothers are from!). The DeNiro and Karen were just as good in their own ways. It would seem you really can’t go wrong with any of these options!
It’s no surprise that this lovely little place has been going strong for six years, and I’m sure it will be around for many more to come. We’ll surely be back anytime we’re passing through the area.
Do yourself a favour and try Jay Ray’s as soon as you can. You will NOT be disappointed🔥!

My first time stopping in here. This is a drive through only deli hiding in plain sight. I talked with Brian, gave me the rundown of the menu and what their best sandwiches were. What I can say is the food is delicious! I'll definitely be stopping back in there. Thank you, Brian!

Hands down one of the best sandwich shops I've ever had!! The Italian Beef Combo and the Pastrami and Beer Cheese are unbelievable!! I never write reviews, but it's too good not to share. Don't be fooled with the size of the building, it's full of insane deliciousness inside!! The guys running it are friendly regular dudes slinging the best sandwiches around. It's worth the detour if you're passing through Eau Claire, you will tell your friends about it!!

Found a sandwich that compares in flavor, quality, and price…over 2,000 miles away on vacation once. I’ve never had anything this good in Wisconsin. Truly. I get the Goodfella but I’ll branch out one of these days…maybe. Made my grandparents try it and it’s their new favorite spot in EC. Also VERY sweet staff. They’ve treated me and my roommate so kindly every single time we’ve been there. 10/10!!!!
Drove all the way from Minnesota, to get 7 brew and happened upon this place because how many 5 stars, it got its well deserved. And please try it if you're in town
