The Joynt is the coolest bar on Water Street. It should be on the National Registry of Historic Places, too. I had the pleasure of meeting Odetta once when she was in Minneapolis promoting the Stillwater Jazz Festival and we talked about the Joynt, which she had played at a decade before.
It's my own personal time capsule. Hasn't changed since I used to go there at 18 a nurse 25¢ Walter's taps! Always good to see Wes, one of the great bartenders there
What a classic! Our bartender was the best I’ve ever had (woman in her thirties with Princess Leia buns on the back of her head). She is fast, fun and filled us in on the Water Street developments and all the other questions we threw at her. We had a blast. Thank you!
